Another perfect and relaxed afternoon at the Marton Arms. The most gorgeous spot, wonderful hosts and lovely food. If you are in the area - try it out... It's just a few minutes from the main Kirby Lonsdale to Skipton road

Just had bank holiday weekend here. The staff can't do enough for you especially the Manageress. I don't know how many hours she works but she always seemed to be around. The bar and serving staff are very young but every one of them was professional and courteous. The food is fabulous and the portions massive. My other half was... More

This is a character inn with a good bar and restaurant. The staff are friendly. The rooms are a bit tired and could do with an overhaul. The ensuite has a strong shower. Room was warm, despite it blowing a gale and snowing outside when we visited. Plenty of free parking. Handy location by turning off the A65, but set... More

It's great to see that the Marton Arms is back on form after a few below par years. 18 months ago we arrived on a Thursday night to find the bar all but closed and a refusal to honour the accommodation booking made 2 weeks previously. Whereas, on my recent stay I was met by friendly staff, the bedroom was... More

Got a half price Groupon deal, would have felt v.underwhelmed had we paid more! The staff, particularly Darren and Gary deserve praise, I would have been happy to feedback to more senior staff members, but they never appeared! Major investment needed in decor and facilities by senior management/owners in order to compete. Voiced opinion on checkout as thought it would... More

This was a perfect base for a short break in the Yorkshire Dales during a chilly week in April. We had a lovely 4 poster bed in a warm room. All the staff were friendly but professional and there were some nice touches that made all the difference e.g. the heating and towel rail had been turned on prior to... More

We have just spent 3 nights at the Marton Arms and can strongly recommend it for your break in the Dales. This is our second stay here and we will return again, as there is so much to see in this area - caves, viaduct, Wenyslydale cheese factory, Malham cove, and numerous waterfalls. We had a room with a 4... More

We live locally and so decided to walk from Ingleton to The Marton for our evening meal. The service was excellent and all of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I had the chicken & leek pie which was beautifully presented & tasty, my husband had the huge burger which he will also be ordering tonight when we return... More

Location is excellent for walks. The bar area is lovely with the log fire and food menu adequate. Burger was excellent, my wife had the ceasar salad but found it odd that it came with anchovies when it wasnt stated on the menu. We stayed in room 1 which was £90 for the night including breakfast. We were dissapointed with... More

Lovely old pub, tastefully renovated. Good selection of real ales, excellent food, good accommodation. The staff are very friendly and helpful, incuding the comedy breakfast waitress, who kept bringing the wrong orders - much to the amusement of us and our fellow diners. The evening menu is a little on the expensive side, especially for steaks. However the quality, and... More

We are a traditional Country Inn located 3/4 of a mile from Ingleton and just 6 miles away from Kirkby Lonsdale. We have 10 guest bedrooms, two of which have four poster beds, one twin bedroom and one family bedroom, the rest are double bedrooms. We are ideally located for the those doing the Yorkshire Three Peaks or visiting the White Scar Caves and Ingleton Waterfalls. All of our food is prepared freshly on site to order and we use locally sourced suppliers. For those Ale drinkers we have 8 Cask Ale hand pulls, which during the busy season we try and have all 8 on. During the quieter months this is not always possible. For those winter months we have two roaring log burning stoves in the bar and for the Summer months we have two lovely beer gardens, one out the front of the hotel looking over St Oswalds Church and one out the back looking over open fields. ... more   less
