My wife and I visited the Seven Stars Inn recently. This pub/restaurant is in a great little village just on the outskirts of Durham City. Although the bar area is only small it has a great local atmosphere and is very relaxing. We booked our meal for 7pm and were led to our table in the main dining area which... More

Birthday treat for my husband. Used the 2 night dbb deal. Excellent value. All meals well presented, freshly cooked. Staff very friendly. Rooms cosy. Nice quiet location, no late night noise. Highly recommended. Went to Beamish museum and used 25% off voucher from Seven Stars, the ticket purchased is now valid for a year, which is also very good value.

What a truly lovely place to visit and it was just as expected no 'glass or chrome' to be seen just a traditional welcome to a family run business. The Inn itself is well maintained and done to a high standard, our room was a good size the bed was comfortable and the towels and bedding were brilliant white which... More

Very reasonable prices for Durham with excellent food and friendly service. The rooms are not the largest but size is compatible with the nature of the building and they are comfortably fitted. The only obtrusive noise would be the sound of the WC macerator, but I cannot say that we were particularly disturbed by it. We brought a couple of... More

We had stayed here before and were on the mailing list so returned for a truly fantastic offer of 2 nights dinner bed and breakfast. The food was delicious from the superb evening meal to the breakfast (cooked by breakfast chef) who produced delicious sloppy scrambled eggs at our request. I like my real ale which is not always available... More

One of the great things about dining here is the consistant quality of the food. We are frequent diners at the Seven Stars because the food is always cooked to the highest standard and the menu is always varied. I love fish & desserts and both score top marks! The variety of foods is great and the pricing just hits... More

Went on Saturday lunchtime with a group of 13 for a christening. Food was excellent, huge portions and reasonable prices. Good local beers, friendly service.

We needed somewhere to stay in this area, and found a dbb deal for 3 nights at the Seven Stars. The place lived up to its billing as a restaurant with rooms. Breakfasts were excellent and so were the evening meals. On two of our three evenings we hosted other family members. Everyone enjoyed their meals and I suspect there... More
