Thomas Luny House could not be more comfortable. We stayed in the Clairmont Room, which looks our towards the estuary and the docks. Since there is a 12 foot wall at the rear of the garden, we couldn't actually see much, but it really didn't matter. Our room was super-comfortable; the breakfasts were fabulous and the afternoon tea and cake...

This is an excellent B & B. The hosts at Thomas Luny House could not be more helpful. We were met at the station and on arrival our bags were taken upstairs to our room (we needed the help). We were then offered an impressive "snack" of coffee/tea and delicious home-made cake. At all times the hosts were helpful with...

Have stayed here before and found it to be as perfect as it was a few years ago .
The high standards of accomodation here lead the way . We had tried to book in for 3 nights at the Thomas Luny but due to being full we had to stay 1 night in another hotel in Shaldon - we...

What a wonderful discovery! We stayed at Thomas Luny house for the first time this week and I know we shall be visiting this charming, small hotel again. There is an air of tranquility about the place and a touch of refinement. Our hosts were very welcoming and attentive and the breakfasts are superb. A 'five star' rating is not...

We stayed at Thomas Luny House with my sister and her husband for four nights and had a fantastic time. Alison and John were the perfect hosts making us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and my sister who is yeast intolerant was provided with special bread and cake, a really nice touch. Everywhere was very clean and...

Revisiting Teignmouth 25 years after our honeymoon. We were looking for somewhere special to stay to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversay. Thomas Luny House certainly fitted the bill. Reading the brilliant reviews of others, we were led to believe that this B&B would be perfect - and it was.
All the words about how lovely the house and rooms were,...

Alison was extremely welcoming and the house has a lot of character. The value for money is outstanding - I've paid close to twice what we paid here for equivalent accommodation in other parts of the UK. For evening meals, The Owl And The Pussycat nearby is excellent - don't be put of by the rather custesy name.
Booked a six night stay on the basis of recommendations and five stars and we were certainly not disappointed. Alison and John are charming hosts and we were very well looked after in a lovely house. The rooms were spotlessly clean, a really good choice at breakfast, and afternoon tea (included in the cost) a delight. We can certainly recommend...
