I had an upstairs room to myself. Cozy and comfortable. The stairs to the room are a bit uneven and you must proceed with caution at night but the building is very old. I felt it added to the ambiance. Mr Suleyman, the owner was very gracious. He went out of his way to get stamps for me to mail... More

On a recent stay at this wonderfully preserved old inn, we were warmly welcomed by the knowledgeable, friendly staff. Climbing the ancient, uneven stairs, and entering through a traditionally low doorway, we were delighted to find our historical room had an updated, ensuite bath with - wonderful surprise - lots of hot water and great water pressure! We delighted in... More

This is a beautifully preserved historical property in the heart of quaint Mustaphapasa. The Old Greek House retains the historical nature of the old stone building with original staircases and yet boasts upgraded sleeping and bathing facilities. The staff are attentive, helpful and kind. We were immediately at ease and felt like they would do anything for us. The food... More

Located in quaint Sinasos village, the facilities were a little too rustic for our liking. We were there in late September. No heat in the rooms. Hotel appears to depend on solar for hot water heating and as it was cloudy two out of the three mornings we were there we had no hot water. Dining room is open to... More

We were on the Rick Steve's tour with "Mary Sunshine". Our room was on the ground floor and we had WiFi in our room. Our door opened onto the dining area and we literally had to excuse ourselves to get around diners blocking our doorway. Of course, we heard all the dinner conversations until things quieted down after 10:00 PM... More

The Old Greek House is very unique. We stayed there for 3 nights with a Rick Steve's tour group. It is indeed very old, and with that comes some of the shortcomings. My husband and I were on the 2nd floor, and we actually had 2 connected rooms with a bath. We probably had more room than most of the... More

I generally try to accentuate the positive in my reviews but this was one of our biggest disappointments of recent years. We booked it as a memorable final night - hotel and food - for our capadoccia stay and were very underwhelmed. We found ourselves shoehorned into a confined, claustrophobic room with two large and noisy groups. The ambience had... More

We stayed in Old Greek House for several days in October 2010, travelling Turkey on our own. A very beautiful historical interior. We had a nice, large room on the upper floor (were allowed to choose, by the way). The family who runs the hotel is very friendly, service is very good, and the food as well. The village is... More

We stayed here for two nights as part of a Rick Steves tour. The setting was rustic and the owners of the hotel were magnificent. The food they cooked up for dinner each night and the BBQ lunch they prepared on the last day were top notch. The rooms were simple but comfortable. We ended up in the Upper Greek... More

If you are looking for a truly memorable Turkish holiday experience then look no further than The Old Greek House, situated in the small village of Mustafapasa, near Urgup.
