Recently returned from Monte Verde, very nice clean but basic appartments. Staff very friendly but with limited English. Balconys are huge which is a great advantage. We are only recently back from a week's holidays in the Monte Verde Apartments. Good points are: good location for the beach and the marina and the infamous 'centre'.
