The views are absolutely breathtaking and if they renovated the rooms, they could charge 4 times more. Lots of reviews complained about the quality of the rooms, and they are correct. But that's how this place stays affordable, I think. We had a room with a sea view, and it was not one of the ones pictured on their website.... More

I stayed here on business and cannot comment on the price as that was paid for by someone else, but what a location, the setting for this hotel is stunning. The character of the town itself and the very narrow streets combine to make you realise your in a very beautiful part of the world. The room I had was... More

The old saying about "location, location, location" is certainly true here, as the location of the Hotel Grotta Palazzese is nothing short of spectacular! Located atop a cliff that rises directly out of the Adriatic Sea, its situation is absolutely stunning. In addition to rooms in the main building the hotel offers a few "Characteristic" rooms, which are just across... More

We arrived without a reservation but the Duty Manager was great, taking us around and showing us rooms. We had a room across the narrow alley from the hotel, perched right over the sea. I spent ages just sitting looking over the narrow balcony... Spectacular. Dinner in the restaurant grotto was great - not especially the meal, but the setting.... More

This was a very memorable experience. The hotel's restaurant is located, during the summer months, in a gigantic sea cave, with decking across the cave entrance and view down to the sea on both sides. The setting is unique and very special. The atmosphere was enhanced by some lovely playing by a lone saxophonist. Meals are VERY expensive, though and... More

Wish we had consulted trip advisor before booking. Instead we rushed ahead after being seduced by the hotels website. At 150 Euro per night for their cheapest room, the facilities and rooms are terrible. Do not stay here. There are so many great bed and breakfasts around that friends we were with stayed in (wedding party) at less than half... More

The most amazing setting i have ever seen for a restaurant but let down by the food and service. The food was mainly raw (some of which im sure you cant eat) flavourless and smoothered in oil. Lobster was either frozen or overcooked, the menu even though available in English doesnt represent what you actually get given. No mention that... More

We were doing a road trip travelling around Italy for our silver wedding staying at various B&B (see Trivago & Tripadvisor) and this was supposed to be the highlight of the trip. What a terrible hotel (B&B with maybe 2 stars just because of the location). The first room was small and the rooms Facilities were about 20 years out... More

We booked this hotel for a 3-night stay thinking that we found out the perfect romantic escape location but what a deception when we arrived! Actually, the location is perfect and the restaurant is simply somptuous and amazing but the guests rooms...don't offer the same level of confort and luxury. The rooms we got was small, with no view and... More

This restaurent is in a spetacular setting, the food is excellant, but they desparatly need to reduce their prices, its just too expensive .Polignano is beautifull , the best restaurent in town is the Antiche Mura which looks nothing from the outside but inside is wonderfull with superb food & excellent service at a sensible price.
