After reading other reviews after booking the Dolce Fregate we were expecting the worst.... How on earth anyone could write a negative report on this hotel is beyond comprehension, the hotel is not cold and clinical as a Hyatt or Marriott and has real French character with great atmosphere and staff who could not do enough to ensure our stay... Very nice location. Very quiet and beautifull spot. But the service is terrible. Not enoght staff to help you out. You are waiting 10 min at the reception, cause one hotel employee is helping out 4 guest. No one to help with the luggages. Parking an internet are free and if you have lots of luggages it is far away... More

It's a 4 Star hotel, but with a 5 Star staff, it should reach higher. Food is excellent. Did try both golf Club restaurant, pool and fine dining -all very wellprepared and nice presentation. Stayed here in July 2010. The hotel is fine on the outside but as soon as you leave reception things go downhill. The rooms are very old and tired and desperately in need of updating. Bathroom was very basic with mould around the shower. Wiring was hanging out of power sockets in the hallway and fire doors were proped open... More

The hotel looked very promising when looking at their internet but the reality is that the hotel is very tired and dated. The bedroom had a nice sea view but the bed was uncomfortable (with polyester blend bed linen), foam pillow, with a plastic mattress cover... The bathrooms were dirty with mould in the joins. Two nights in early july. Very nice room with great views, nice dinner buffet, perfect pool and friendly staff. we certainly return!

We just came back from Dolce Fregate with our 2 children (age 7 and 9 years). The location is superb, the hotel is old and they really have to renew this hotel because it is so poor, broken tiles, broken lifts and the worst thing is the toilet in the room: the urine smell does not leave! We stayed at the Dolce Fregate Resort for a week in early July. Travelling with two boys aged 7 and 9, we opted for a one bed family suite. A long walk from reception but worth it. Great space, master bedroom, seperate lounge where very comfortable sofa beds were made up for the boys each night. Little kitchenette including fridge.... More
