This was distinctly the lowpoint of our 10 day trip around Provence... this hotel is completely weird... whilst trying to be designer... the decoration makes it completely asceptic... un pleasant and simply NOT A NICE PLACE TO BE. We had a room overlooking a parking lot (Great at over 200Euros per night) which allgedly had a "private Garden" which was... More

Excellent decoration, phantastic architecture, breath-taking scenery. Very helpful service - felt very well looked after Dinner at the restaurant was outstanding - choice was a bit limited Do not forget to go for lunch under the plane tree (or up in the huge tree-house up the plane tree) in the back of the domaine ,

I guide bike tours in Provence. I've heard about this high end 'design hotel' for a year and stayed there with a group of 10 men this Sept. 2010. Out of the 4 hotels on the trip, this was the most expensive. Service at the hotel was non-existent. They did not have a rooming list of who was in each... More

The location is udoubtedly lovely. We stayed in the cheapest room (which wasnt cheap) and whilst the design element was good, the room was uncomfortable. The upstairs bit has a low and sloping ceiling (i hit my head 3 times). There is no air conditioning save for a very loud portable unit down stairs and a very loud aircraft engine... More

Domaine des Andeols sacrifices comfort and pleasure for design, beginning with no air conditioning (pretending that the cool night air remains in the houses if windows are closed), a fan with the decibel level of the Rolling Stones (making sleep impossible), and a generic restaurant that ignores the bounty of Provence (run by Parisien chef Guy Martin). Bathtubs at least... More

We enjoyed each and every minute at this wonderful place, the location, the room, the excellent food and above all the attentive, always friendly and charming crew. Problems were taken care of immediately - you just have to tell them what you would like to make your experience even more memorable and they will try to accommodate you. We will... More

This is undoubtedly a beautiful place, the food is wonderful and the setting sublime. However, the service REALLY lets it down. There were a couple of members of staff who made it better for us, the lovely Irena and the new maitre D', but other than that the staff were rude.I can't imagine what Mr Ducasse would have to say... Our family have lived in the area since the early 70s and seen many changes. Domaine Des Andeol is one of the more exceptional! We have eaten there a couple of times, just for special occasions. The service is slick and faultless, the food of a high standard giving delicious flavours. However, that all comes at a price. There are... More

The style is over the top, like a Parisian fashion runway show, but the substance is thin. We stayed in the Lovers House, oddly enough, made entirely of concrete. I would have expected this house to be the most tactile of all! It has no fabric, an echo problem, and no air conditioning. Horrid brute of a bathtub upstairs with... More

We have just returned from our honeymoon, which began with a 3-night stay at Les Andeols. We found the place hard to fault: the accommodation was excellent, the food outstanding, and the service was friendly, attentive and efficient. As other reviewers have commented already, the hotel is achingly trendy, but somehow this seems to work among the gorgeous provencal scenery.... More
