This is a nice place to stay while in Melbourne. Located in a good spot in Richmond, close to MCG etc. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Last time I had a single room which was small but fine. Another time I booked a double room which had a nice little balcony you could sit out on. The toilets... More

Thank you to the staff at Richmond Hill Hotel, who went out of their way to accomodate me on my arrival to Melbourne. Not only were they were able to meet my cheeky request of early check in following an international flight from LA (and dior need of sleep!), but they took extra care to place me in a room... More

The hotel is very conveniently located. Our room was clean, simply furnished and adequate without being anything special. It does have a Fawlty Towers feel, but the staff were helpful and friendly. I even had my wallet returned at the end of the day after I dropped it in the corridor in the morning. The public areas of the hotel... More

What a gem! This hotel has quite a variety of accommodations so if you choose correctly you should feel that you get real value for the amt you want to spend. Being a native Melbourne gal I know Melb can be very pricey. We wanted to be close to the City and close to Richmond with its wonderful cafes, restaurants... More

Firstly, the review "Dreadful" Where the person in question wrote a review about this hotel after a friend stayed. Are you really that stupid? You were obviously booked into the traveller budget rooms, it does clearly state there are bunk beds and you are to provide your own towels and toiletries. If you found it that appauling (sorry if your... More

We stayed for 4 nites and the hotel suited our needs well. We love to walk and the Botanic garden was an easy 20 minute walk and downtown was about 45-60 min. Public transportation was also easy to access. This is an older hotel with a quirky layout, but our ensuite room was clean and comfortable. We had a room... More

My friend checked in for one night in the cheapest type room as he arrived late and wasn't booked into a decent hotel till the next night. It was horrible - prison cells are more luxurious. There were four bunks and it smelt foul, there were no towels provided and you wouldn't want to touch whatever cover was on the... More
