We are thrilled that the management from last year has been replaced with people who seem much more competent and we look forward to a well-run campground once again. The lake is deep and the perfect size for swimming and non-motorized activities, the beach is typically full, but not crowded, the sites are treed and if you choose your site... More

we have come here for our summer vacation for the last few years. I agree with alot of the recent posts. However it has changed managers this year, the store is now back and they say that the laundry will be coming back with all new machines. Yes the 1030 pm curfew is enforced and even when you are not... More

This was our 3rd year at Gallagher Lake Resort and we'll be back next year for a 4th. Management had JUST changed - in fact, I tried to email the campground in early August and when they didn't reply I called them, at which time they apologized for not returning the email but explained that they had JUST taken over... We stayed here as my hub and Dad wanted to fish Vaseux Lake. Will never venture to this campground again. Our spot was right by the front entrance so the highway noise was always with us. The first night we had no one on either side of us so it wasn't that bad but the next day people started piling... More

The only reason we stayed at this campsite is because it is the ONLY campsite in Oliver which accepts dogs. Well, sort of; dogs are actually only allowed in the "upper" camp area and you're allowed to even walk your dog (on a leash, of course) to the lake or anywhere else. I never even saw the lake. The sites... More

We have stayed here for many years however, when we arrived this year (for our 2 week vacation) we were disappointed to find the campground in need of some tlc. Our campsite was overgrown with weeds and prickle bushes. The store was gone as was the laundry facilities (even though the huge billboard at their entrance advertised both-and believe me... More

This used to be a great campground especially when it was a KOA. It still has real potential. There used to be fun activities and a really friendly atmosphere. In the last couple of years it has started going down hill. The new management is unfriendly, the store has closed and there is no longer laundry. Still a very nice... More

I am writing this on July 2nd in the campground. We tented here on june 29th to july 3rd. We will never come back here and this is why (succintly summarized): 1. The washrooms are filthy, dirty, unmaintained and just gross. There are flies everywhere (which are not cleaned) and the ground is dirty. 2. The showers are, at best,... More

Do not even think of staying here unless you have an RV (we were in a tent). The camp sites are so jammed packed together you are basically sleeping on top of your neighbour. The "lake" is very small and looks like it was an old quary at one time. This lake/pond is at the base of a cliff which... More

We have stayed here for 3 years in a row. This is a great place for families. Very relaxing atmosphere and lots to do for kids. Management were pretty diligent at enforcing rules. Partiers are removed very quickly. Nice to have small private beach. Only complaint is that the washroom facilities need to be upgraded as they are quite old.... More
