Typical French family hotel in a lovely historic town. Not modern but functional. Nice romantic place. Is situated in the heart of the town. Staff very friendly. If in the area I would LOVE to stay again. Free parking in town square adjacent. About 40 mins from Calais.

Small hotel (with restaurant) right in the centre of town. Stayed on a Friday night, and woke up to a bustling market outside. Street parking was available. Our room (double) was small but clean. Over the years we've stayed at Le Vauban many times. Under previous management it was cheap and cheerful and its central location a big advantage. The welcome is now both dour and unresponsive. The Hotel is very central, the room was nice an big, and clean but the bathroom smelt of damp and though we complained it didn't make any difference
