Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This traditional Bulgarian house style hotel is cleverly built in an arc of rooms on a couple of floors enclosing a very pleasant sheltered inner courtyard with a patio area with tables and chairs, a small green lawn and walled garden, all surmounted by the huge rocky outcrop behind which provides a stunning view of the clifftops from most of the room balconies. The corridors are hung with a very interesting selection of art, some of which seem to be original oils, and the rooms also have art prints, excellent individual aircon units, adequate beds (but we found the simple foam mattresses a little thin... you feel a thump if you sit too fast!) and although there is TV, none of the channels were in English. The breakfasts are very simple with just two options and could be described as just about adequate. No juices were on offer and just one small coffee provided. Lastly, although this hotel was advertised as having its own private parking, it really doesn't anymore. The square it faces has been pedestrianised which is very pretty but you can no longer follow SatNav directions all the way to the hotel! We were directed to park in a small private access road behind the hotel complex next to a currently unused building, but if anyone uses that building even these few places will vanish.

the hotel is very well maintained, the staff is friendly and are fluent in english. the breakfast options are either a hot sandwich or a cold meal, we took the latter, if you are lactose intolerance/vegetarian do mention it because it has cheese and ham in it. overall, great experience!

We spend the New Year there and the stay was absolutely amazing. The staff goes out of their way to meet your requests and they were always kind and very helpful. We forgot an item from our luggage and it was returned to us on the very next day (we live in another city). The rooms are very well maintained, warm and clean. Based on the price we paid we weren't very hopeful, but this turned out to be a great vacation - relaxing city full of good people. Oooh, and did I mention is it in the heard of the old town?! I know, right! Strongly recommended.

We were travelling across Bulgaria and wanted to spend the night in Lovech. We did not have anything booked and just went to hotel Varosha, which is basically in the town's center. The staff immediately gave us a room and were quite polite. The rooms are tidy and clean, but the minibar seemed a bit outdated (I guess they do not change the items frequently). The location is very nice and the staff can give you directions on where to go, what to visit. The internet connection was quite good and the rooms are very quiet. I would definitely recommend this hotel for leisure and couples.

If you're planning on staying in Lovech - I'd recommend this hotel. Right in the center of the town. Has everything you need - air conditioning, comfy bed, renovated bathroom. Affordable too and at the same time staff is really helpful.

This hotel is in a nice location and the staff is friendly and helpful. I've stayed here twice on two short trips to Lovech and would stay here again. It's a nice little place but don't expect anything luxurious; the furniture and facilities are old, but clean and perfectly fine for a short stay.

Staff very pleasant, even waiting for us until 5am to arrive, with a smile! Make sure you reserve a room with air con in the summer months, only one issue- a guest in the next room was smoking in their bathroom which filtered into our room, filled the whole room,I did mention it to reception, who apologised. We would stay there again though 😊

A friend of mine and my stayed in this hotel for one night. The room and the bathroom were OK, yes, small, but clean. We stayed there only for sleeping, so we did not except so much to have. The location is great and the price is acceptable. The wifi was OK and it was free. It is really near to the famous covered bridge. The fortress of Lovech is also close to the hotel - a small walk around the old town.
