We stayed in Holbox the first week of January 2012 and had such a peaceful vacation at this little private hotel. The rooms are very natural and nice and extremely clean. We had Room 2, they call Beachfront Queen Suite. Second floor bungalow type villa in the palm trees looking over the beach and Caribben. It has a terrace on... More

The day after landing in Cancun, we were met by our friends who live in Oxcutzcab and they took us to Holbox. What a fantastic island! Sand streets, no cars, beautiful beaches. My friend's cousin lives on Holbox and they made the hotel arrangements for us. Couldn't have been happier with the Iguana. The rooms are simple and kept very... More

I was wanting to get away from everything, specially from my daily routine in the states that literally gets me insanely stressful in every circumstance and I decided to go at Isla Holbox. I stayed at Hotel Casa Iguana for one week. Everything was excellent, the staff extremely nice and beyond helpful and the best part they speak fluent English...I... More

Well I stayed in Casa Iguana while traveling with my brother last summer and it was awful! We got there and got this really expensive "deluxe" room (about 1,200 pesos, opposed to a regular one that costs 500 but there were none of those available) and it was kinda clean, size wasn't that bad but... NO A/C!!! How can they... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at Casa Iguana for 3 nights...should have stayed longer. It was the nicest part of our journey! The owners and family are lovely as well as the employees..... who you can tell they immensely appreciate. Would definitely return and recommend. More

My partner and I stayed at Casa Iguana over Christmas. It was perfect for us; peaceful, quiet and clean. It is just the perfect distance from the town making the use of a golfcart unnecessary. Staff was helpful but not intrusive. Not the kind of place for people who need constant coddling. It attracted people of similar mind. More

We were supposed to go to Holbox in December 2008, but because of bad weather, all flights were canceled. I had put a deposit on our room, and the owner of Casa Iguana refunded half our money. He said that he would apply the other half to our stay if we could make it back in the next year. So... More

Stayed 3 days at Casa Iguana. We did a package deal with Whale Shark Tours. Rod set up the reservations for both online and also responded to emails timely. Casa Iguana is in a great location right on the beach. There are chairs and a private sitting area. It is more of a group of cabanas than a hotel. We... More

Talk about on the beach - it IS the beach! Casa Iguana is a smaller type hotel with casitas and rooms pretty much all on the beach. They are very roomy and clean and the staff was VERY helpful and friendly. We had one of the rooms on the 2nd story near the back of the property (farthest from the... More

We had one room with air and one without. I would recommend paying the extra for AC. We only stayed 2 nights. Long enough to swim with the whale sharks and check out the island. The whale sharks are definetly worth the trip to Holbox!!!!! More
