Just 45 minutes by boat from the mainland. Totally relaxed atmosphere, specially when you're staying overnight on the island. Day-tourists arrive around 10:30 and leave at 17:00 hrs. The food is just average, but the staff is great and makes it an onforgettable stay.

I think the other reviews have pretty much summed up Cayo Levisa and we found it to be as we'd imagined, a nice island with a lovely beach. We didn't have great expectations having paid only £70 per couple per night for full board through travel republic. I wanted to mention that as someone from the UK booked with press... More

A beautiful place, the cay is totally relaxing and beautiful and we really liked the hotel. The staff were helpful, room fine and the only place in Cuba where we never lost the water supply, food was good although you have to book full board, but this doesn't matter here as there was lots of choice and it was all... ...marred by the omnipresence of the Portuguese Man o War, which apparently appears when the west wind blows. Makes the swimming a little more exciting! Its a beautiful get away type of place with the hotel now being run as a joint venture with an italian company, who have block booked 60% of the rooms. What this means is large... More

We stayed 7 nights on a half board basis. The location was superb, and just 30 mins on the morning ferry from the mainland. We were fortunate in getting a chalet (13) right on the beach, originally we were allocated (36), which was a bit back from the beach, although it had a sea view. We asked at reception the... More

The small island where this hotel is based if beautiful, with white powder sandy beach, mangroves, crystal clear water (unless it's very windy, that is). The hotel however is pretty basic and mainly, the majority of the staff are grumpy and unfriendly and hardly make you feel welcome. Particularly the 'manager' who sits in a closed door 'reception' and has... More

We spend 2 weeks here from 20.12.11 to 03.01.12. When we first came to the ferry, everyone there said "no possible", when we said we was to stay there for 2 weeks. But guess what, it was possible. This was the best part of our 4 week stay in Cuba! The first thing I experienced coming was sitting in the... More

Leaving Vinales, we got up very early and trundled downtown to catch our bus in front of the Cubanacan office. We had purchased our tickets here on our first day in Vinales, to make sure that we had a seat. Don’t gamble on buying a last minute ticket—this is a small bus and a popular route. The bus ride took... More

Hotel Cayo Levisa, not luxury, but calm and friendly. Stayed there for 14 days. We have been to Cuba many times sins 2004, and have witnessed some changes in Cuba. Some places are not authentic Cuba anymore, but this is. Nature and beach is so unspoiled as possible when there are a hotel there. Maybe there should be more shadow... More

We had a great stay here. We wanted to get away from the mass tourism and cheap looking hotels which seem to dominate Cuba and this resort was perfect. The Island is everything you would want from a tropical paradise. The resort was in keeping with the natural surroundings and provided everything we needed. The staff were so friendly and... More
