We stayed 2 nights while in portmadog (to do the welsh highland railway among other things). Modern house, very clean and comfortable, great breakfast (cooked breakfast or a llovely fruit platter). No Internet connection, and our mobile cover was patchy.

Made very welcome by the owners, room was lovely, spotlessly clean and well presented. Bathroom was lovely too. Only minor problem was no internet of phone signal. Breakfast was great as well ,all freshly cooked.

Penaber is the best b & b we have every stayed in. It was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Mary and Gary were friendly and helpful. We walked from the Penaber to the Ffestiniog railway station and it took us seventeen minutes. A great find - we'll be back

While a little out of town, the Penaber B&B is an excellent choice if you find yourself staying in Porthmadog. If you don't have a car, be prepared to walk about 20 minutes from the main train station, or 15 minutes from Ffestiniog railway station - part of the way is uphill too!
