We also stayed here as part of a wedding party (who are all in the catering and hospitality industry!!) and these guys do not have a clue how to run a hotel let alone how to treat their customers!! There is a 9 o'clock cut off to order food which was fair enough but when we were still waiting for... More

Very welcoming, the room decor was a little dated but very clean and had everything I needed for an overnight stay. Staff were great!

After reading the previous reviews I was not looking forward to staying here. However, on arrival I was greeted by a pleasant receptionist and given a very nice, clean and large room. Dinner was served in the bar, menu fairly standard but food well cooked and waiting staff were very pleasant, bar staff very chatty. Reasonable choice for breakfast. Decor... More

The first thing that hits you is the hideous decor and the stale smell. I would have checked out straight away if I hadn't already paid. You are required to pay for whole stay when you check in. The only person you meet is the waitress at breakfast. I tried opening the windows and using air fresheners, but nothing worked.... More

On arrival given directions to our room, very small, the pictures must be of the good room(s). having been out for meal with daughter returned to hotel decided on a nightcap, on entering the bar, suddenly thought were is the sawdust for the floor, to the bar asked for an irish coffee and a pint of the local beer, beer... The shower head was thick with mould, the sink belonged in a caravan because it was so tiny we couldn't fill the kettle properly. The bedroom was so small. Bathroom extractor fan would not turn off and kept us awake all night. Bedding was from the dark ages with blankets. Cobwebs took over the room. The shelf which contained the... More

I don't normally write reviews, I just don't go back, but this place does not deserve the business. This was booked for me by BSI as there was little else available (Boat Show). I didn't have time to read the reviews. I was given room 7 & agree with the comments below. Room is small, wardrobe not big enough to... More

I was in Gosport on business and my hotel booking company sent me here as it had car park, restaurant, wi fi and was less then 10 miles from my appointment the next day. When I finally found the place (not helpful directions on phone) I had to ring bell to be checked in, i could see the bar person... More

The hotel asks for payment for the room up front - I should have known. It is overpriced and very poor value. The room was small, the sheets smelt musty, the decor is tired and the room was cheaply furnished. It was noisy and smelly because of the air con machine outside the window which 'thrummed' noisily and filled the... More

We take payment on arrival but guests may see their room first. The guest had been booked a standard double room by her company and was given a room with both a bath and shower en-suite.Our rooms are cleaned to a high standard and the laundry is profesionally cleaned. The guest asked to be moved because of the noise from the... More
