We have just come back from a lovely weekend at Appletree Cottage with our 20month old daughter. We had an amazing stay and can not recommend Appletree Cottage enough. We were made to feel extremely welcome and the location was perfect. Just a short walk either along the coast or through the old town to the beautiful beach. We stayed... More

Whilst at Appletree Cottage we had wonderful food, welcome, comfort and Hilary and Stuart are lovely helpful people. There are a number of bedrooms in this cottage. It is near the sea and shops as well as places to eat at night as well as plenty to do not far away. Highly recommended. Breakfast is excellent and there is awide... More

Thank you so much for taking the trouble to write a review. Hilary we be pleased to read that you enjoyed her breakfasts. The large holly tree outside of the Pippin bedroom has now been pruned so sea views are much more expansive. We are in the middle of having the bedrooms redecorated so we will soon be ready for... Thank you very much for the very positive review. I am sure Hilary will be delighted to read it. Today the glimpse of the sea should improve as the very old holly tree just outside of Pippin window is due for a prune. When it is a wild sea you can also hear the waves crashing onto the beach. This was our second stay here and the accomodation and breakfasts were as good as we recalled from our 1st stay. Hilary and Stewart make you very welcome, even carrying your rather large luggage up the stairs! We stayed in Bramley and there is plenty of room + ensuite which is great. The B&B is in a great location for... More

We had a very relaxing 3 day stay with lovely friendly hosts. The breakfast was superb starting with a fabulous large bowl of fresh fruit, followed by a nice selection to choose from, which would leave you full till the afternoon. The Pippin room where we stayed had an excellent view with sun shining in every morning. Sitting on the... More

Thank you Lynda for your very positive review. You certainly couldn't sit on the bench & soak up the sunshine today. A typical bank holiday, wet & windy. Not sure that I will show Hilary your comment on her singing. It will only encourage her!! Best wishes Stuart More

Lovely stay at Appletree Cottage recently, good breakfast with plenty of variety including fresh fruit salad (yummy) and quite a few speciality dishes including kedgeree which I sampled - very good. I found that the duvets were too warm for the summer and quite heavy - perhaps some lightweight ones would be an added benefit. Hilary was lovely and very... More

Thank you so much for taking the trouble to write a review. Hilary was pleased to read that you enjoyed the kedgeree. This together with smoked salmon and kippers has proved to be a popular alternative to the fully cooked English breakfast. With regard to the duvets , over the years it has proved to be impossible to second guess... More

Thank you for taking the time to add a review. It's always nice to have you and Aaron to stay. Hilary said that you may like to try room Bramley next year. It does normally get booked very early in the season but we are more than happy to take a provisional booking if that helps you. Best wishes Stuart. More
