The staff were charming and very kind to us, giving us a lot of detailed information about all the beautiful places that you can enjoy in Balestrand and the surrounding area. The room was wonderful. The breakfast was really good, and the living room had got stunning views of the fjord.

We had not been told we needed to arrange for the hotel car to collect us fom Balestrand. Although there is a bus the service finishes early and is not practicable for evening use. This place was great. If you want comfortable, clean rooms with amazing natural beauty just outside your door, then this is the place for you. Nice hotel, with great views. We stayed in the annex and had a large room, with a even a kitchen. The building is old, so accept creaking floorboards. The hotel offers one menu each night, which may be a bit limited, but the great view from the dining room compensates everything. Nice lounge with free internet. Good location to explore... More
