We had an awesome time at Kilima Kidogo. We had a beautiful room and bathroom. The atmosphere was great and relaxing. We ate meals right there and everything we ordered was delicous. There were 2 ladies running the place and they were very friendly and helpful. They made us feel very special. They were always asking how everything was and... More

It's an excellent place to relax and chill out. Amazing location right by the beach, really friendly staff, excellent facilities and service.....but the food you get is something you will never forget....it's really amazing and we ended up taking photos of it as the presentation was that great and it's really reasonably priced as well. Even on a budget you... More

A great guest house. Very cool place with really nice service. The lady who owns it is a great personality and ver y very helpful but I should appreciate if the manager who was also helpful to the guests , could be a bit "more cool and nice" with the employees of the place. They were locals, nice so I haven't... More

We have just returned from Tanzania and spent two nights at Kilima Kidogo Guesthouse. We had originally planned to spend three nights there but left after two. We did decide to go at one of the hottest and most humid times of the year, so that was our mistake, but there were several things which would have been very nice... More

Dear Cynthia and Rob, Thank you for your review. We appreciate all feedback that our guests provide. In response to your review, we have the following comments Indeed, you did choose to end your month long safari – a tiring journey by your own admittance – at our humble guesthouse. It is in fact NOT the hottest and most humid... More

We arrived in Zanzibar around 3 am don't know exactly where to go but a friend of my colleague referred us to this Guesthouse. 1 hr travel from the airport without seeing anything but darkness. When we arrived in Kilima Kidogo Guesthouse around 4 am, everybody was resting but we're very grateful that the owner Mama Dina woke up and... More

We stayed here just after New Year's for 4 nights. Our reservation was made through our tour operator, East Africa Safari Company. We weren't thrilled with the location that the tour operator had booked us into in Stone Town so we weren't sure what to expect, but as soon as we arrived we were pleasantly surprised on all fronts. If... More

I spent an idyllic week at Kilima Kidogo! Having done my homework, the guesthouse satisfied all my expectations - beautiful setting, clean, cool rooms, comfortable (huge) bed, friendly staff, good food - it would be hard to find anything worth complaining about. I received a warm welcome from everyone on my arrival - even down to a valentines card from... More

We stayed around new years eve, it was nice - clean and comfortable BB. On Dec 31st at 10:30pm they ran out of beer! The south-african owners are almost too friendly (extremely sweet) and have a hard time to accept if you don´t want to join i.e. a sunset ride. The meals are way below normal quantity but very good.... More

First off this place is very pricy for what you get. When we booked we were quoted 70 US per person per night. That's high even by Tanzanian standards. What do you get for that? We got what they call a comfortable double room. It's a decent enough sized room with a queen sized bed and attached bath in the... More

Me and my girlfriend decided to stay for a week in Zanzibar after an exhilarating safari in Tanzania. We looked through a lot of reviews on Tripadvisor, and finally decided on Kilima Kidogo. We absolutely loved KK. The location is fantastic, the food was good, the staff were helpful, and Dina made us feel very welcome from the first moment... More
