We wanted a quite a place to relax, doing absolutely nothing for a week. For that, this is the perfect place. No TV, no internet, only the beautiful beach. Very simple, but comfortable accommodation. I love the open restaurant right on the beach.

We only spent one day there, but it was a really relaxed place with nice hosts. Everything was organised uncomplicated and we enjoyed every hour there. Our travel guide book mentioned especially the good restaurant - and after having dinner there I understand why :-) The price is fair and can even be paid in EUR...
It was a very pleasant stay with Renato and Laura, the staff were the sweetest, the bungalows were comfortable and the beach was beautiful. All in all i would recommend this place to anyone hwo was looking for a relaxing time. We went on some different trips which Laura and Renato made the arrangements for, very helpful! We absolutely loved our stay at Twisted Palms. My husband and I were there for our honeymoon and it was everything we could have asked for. The accommodation is basic, but the owners have taken a lot of care to make the rooms pretty and comfortable. The place is very well run, the owners being available at all times and...

This resort is well run with owners who take pride in their work. Stayed in a pleasant room, where care and attention had been give to the decor. Maasai watchmen stroll around the grounds and are friendly to talk to. The seafood in the restaurant is of a high standard and good value.
The first thing to be said is that every review is of course subjective. if you're used to staying in the Hilton, then be in for a shock, if you're used to camping then you're in for a nice surprise.
I stayed here with my girlfriend for 1 week and I'm sad to say that we were very relieved to...

Had three good days and nights here, great spot if you're focus is on being interesting places, its a bit worn down in some ways but at 30C and 95 humidity.
Be aware that the beach opens onto a lagoon so the sea visits the near beach only twice a day, at other times you may find the need to...

The hotel is basic yet clean and well located right on the beach. The restaurant is excellent as was the service. If you can, choose to go when the tide is NOT low during the heat of the day - there is no swimming when the tide is out. If you are adventurous take the dali-dali (local bus) to Stone...

I arrived just after New Years to spend 3 weeks solo at Twisted Palms. I was picked up as booked, got a spacious bungalow on the beach and everyone welcomed me from the start. Days was breakfast then reading in the shade, some snorkelling with local fishermen all in the name of relaxation.
Absolutely beautiful beachfront lodge. It has its normal island quirks, like fluctuating electricity, but this was absolutely no issue. The tide goes out far and makes it fairly impossible to swim in the 8 inches of water. The food was amazing, the staff friendly and helpful, and the location and value unbeatable. I would definitely recommend this to the traveller...
