Only stopped at this place as it looked cheap. Best place we stayed on our two week trip, everything felt so clean and homely. The hosts Noeline and Rod were so nice and friendly. Would have loved to stay for longer.

We happened upon the lodge by accident but what a great find! Rod and Noeline are such friendly,nice people which makes staying at the lodge even more fun. Great value for money, extremely comfortable and clean. Enjoyed drinks and nibbles in the garden, lovely laid back atmosphere, will be back to try out the spa! Will definately recommend this property.

Stayed here in two rooms with 2 teenagers in one and my husband son and I in another, for one night. Small but cosy rooms. Altamont is a great place to self-cater and meet interesting people in the large kitchen-dining area or in the lounge where the new woodburner will maintain the atmosphere. No point in blowing the budget when you can enjoy the hospitality here.

This is a very family friendly, communal style accommodation. We stayed here for 7 nights and found the kitchen and bathrooms very clean, rooms were warm and homely and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The caretakers Rod and Noelene were fantastic and went the extra mile to ensure we enjoyed our stay.
