The room, especially bathroom, looks old and could use an upgrade. It looked sufficiently clean though and the people were friendly. It just felt overpriced for what you get. The location is nice. Would stay somewhere else next time for a few more bucks.

We felt a little let down by this hotel. It surely needs an upgrade, with most furnishings looking a few decades old and some leakage issues in the bathroom.
It was comfortable enough, but we certainly weren't compelled to spend much time in the room. The daily servicing didn't include washing up or making beds.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was neat, clean, and well appointed. The staff were very courteous, friendly and helpful. Stores, restaurants, downtown, and the conservation office were within a 15 minute walk. There was even a fun cinema next door. We had a great time and would recommend the hotel to our friends and family.

I really like the note to advise people about the extra heater in the wardrobe... we endeavour to have the rooms heated in the winter season especially if we know people are due to arrive, and usually have a couple of extra rooms heated incase of more arrivals, but on occassions the guest may choose...

The apartment was exactly as advertised on the website - clean, well equipped, only detail that would have been more convenient would be shelving in the wardrobes. The location is great - everything in town in walking distance. The staff were friendly and their advice and information was excellent.

Everything was ok except that the bathroom was small with a small sink and the worst thing is the kitchen and bathroom sink got two separate taps so you need to mix the cold and hot water. We HAVE upgraded most of our units, but as you can appreciate, we only have so much time between seasons and with the current financial times-progress has been slowed.
We are priced accordingly in comparison to our competitors in an expensive part of NZ.
