It’s well placed for the lake and restaurants, shops, etc. Rooms are acceptable, with views up to the hills. There is a small kitchen area so you can microwave, boil water and burn toast. Yes it is not on the lake and doesn't have beautiful views, but it is 5 mins walk from every thing. Guy behind receiption very friendly and helpful (sorry forgot your name after a month of travelling). Loved Wanaka, only stayed one night but easily could have stayed longer. Weather was fantastic.
