We stayed 2 nights in this beautiful B&B. Carly and Mike are great hosts, the view from the room is delightful and the rooms themselves are spacious, very comfortable and very tastefully decorated. Mike cooks a great breakfast - Lovely experience!

Me and my wife spent a night here on our honeymoon and it was the highlight of our trip.Mike and carla are like my grandparents..Soo warm and hospitable. The house was perfect.. rite next to the lake and in the middle of vineyards owned by the lovely couple. They are a delight to talk to and cooked us wonderful breakfast.... More

Great location, close to the main street where you can find all you need. Spectacular views on the mountains, lake and private vineyard. Carla and Mike are very nice hosts. They cooked one of the most delicious breakfasts we have had in New Zealand during our 4 week trip. You can also seat in the garden and enjoy fantastic starry... More

Mike and Carla provide a comfortable, relaxing place to stay in Wanaka. The views of the lake beyond the vineyards are outstanding, and the gardens are beautifully kept. The room is immaculate, comfortable, and pleasantly decorated. Mike and Carla are friendly, gracious hosts and their vineyard produces a fine Pinot Noir, which is always a plus for us! I highly... We had a lovely stay at the Beacondfield B&B. Carla and Mike welcomed us warmly, their home is beautiful and spacious with stunning views across Lake Wanaka to the Southern Alps. The house is full of interesting pieces of furniture and art. Our room was very comfortable. The home made breakfast (from muesli, home-grown fruit and cooked breakfast) was all... More

There was nothing wrong with Beaconfield, but it ultimately wasn't for us. It's set a bit out of town in an area of Wanaka that has been fairly recently developed, full of McMansions that are not very indicative of the Kiwi ethos. The views of the lake and the mountain can't be beat, though! The room was quite comfortable and... More

Mike and Carla are great and have a wonderful, warm, and welcoming home. We only had 1 night but wished we had 2 or 3 more. We arrived late, coming all the way from Milford Sound that day, but Mike was sure to greet us. The breakfast they both cooked was outstanding and fresh. We would definitely stay with them... More

Carla and Mike are one of the best and nicest hosts we ever met! They were very kind, friendly and helpful. Upon arrival in the afternoon in this wonderful house surrounded by a very nice garden in the middle of the vineyards, we were immediately seduced by the smell of a fresh baked cake and muffins. As we were in... More

My wife and I stayed at Beaconfield in mid February, unfortunately it was only for one night. On arrival via an avenue of beautiful standard, perfumed white rose trees, we received a very warm and genuine welcome from Carla and Mike to their beautiful home and enjoyed tea and homemade cakes. Both inside and out, everything was immaculate. Our room... More
