Dear everybody looking for a nice place to spend a good time, I am a 22 year old student from Belgium, and i went to "Les granges Hautes " last June with my older brother and my 2 parents. I am willing to let you know how wonderful our trip was. First, the host people : a very sweet couple... More

When we walked through the entrance of Les Grange Hautes in the Dordogne region of France I had the feeling of entering Shangri La. Granted, that whole area is stunning, but this b&b blended perfectly with its setting. The grounds are made up of an immaculate lawn, beautiful gardens, with plenty of seating, and a surprisingly big and tranquil pool.... More

Our stay at this wonderful bed and breakfast fulfilled all of our dreams of staying in an historic building in the french countryside. Our hosts Jean-Yves and Beatrice Fauste were faultless in their care of us (from New Zealand), even though we were three hours late in arriving, dinner was set and served under the trees in a beautiful setting.... We had a wonderful vacation at this hotel. We went there in June 2008 with my husband and 2 children (7 and 10). We stayed in the suite “Les Oiseaux”. We loved everything. The site is exceptional: a beautiful renovated farm in a manicured property with a superb pool. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the level of comfort is... More

Les Granges Hautes is a very nice country inn in a convenient and beautiful location in the Perigord region of Acquitaine. The inn is a an old stone house that sits on several acres of lawn and gardens at the edge of a small village. Our adjoining rooms were tastefully decorated and were perfect for 2 adults and 2 children.... More

Les Granges Hautes is one of those wonderful "finds" that one comes across every now and then when wandering around rural areas of France. It has everything a top Bed and Breakfast should have...a glorious old Perigordian home set in fabulous gardens, with rooms charmingly and individually decorated, most opening directly onto the gardens. Beatrice and Jean Yves are warm... More

Kaylee and I stayed here at Granges Hautes for three nights and would have stayed longer if Jean-Yves & Béatrice had had the room vacant. The accommodation and grounds are beautiful and well cared for, breakfast is great and all with a relaxing pool to come back to at the end of any busy day. The accommodation is very central... More

Let me start by saying this Chambre d'hotes is really beautiful: the gardens are lovely, the pool scene is great, the main house is charming, and so are the rooms. But... 1) The room It is smaller than what I expected. The courtains don't make it dark in the morning. We hear everything that happens outside the room. There is... More

This is a very well-situated, comfortable and attentively-run stone farmhouse near Sarlat and other interesting destinations such as Saint-Genies, St.-Amand de Coly, Montignac and about a one-hour or so drive from St-Cirq-Lapopie and Figeac. The Lascaux Caves are a short drive away as is La Roche de Saint-Christophe. Our room, "Virginie", was small but adequate with a good-size bathroom (shower,... More

Les Granges Hautes really captures the best of Dordogne. We spent 4 nights in July 2006 and had the best time. Stayed in the smallest room available "Le Pigeonnier", nice and cosy. The Fauste couple was warm and accomodating. Even though the hotel does not have a restaurant, they arrange dinners for the guest where you just have to sign... More
