I'll preface this as I did other Yosemite lodging reviews. Location is great, scenery is breathtaking and accommodations are embarrassing. Everyone loves this park, the views, the nostalgia but frankly, if this place was in any old rural setting, it would get one star across the board from everyone. It looks like a shaded version of Sheriff Arpaio's tent city.... More

we stayed at the housekeeping camps in early september of 2012. we LOVED it. the check in was fast and friendly. we had a river unit, which i enjoyed because it was more private than the non river units. i did a lot of research to figure out what i should bring to make our stay easy and enjoyable. (i'll... More

I have stayed here over 10 times in my life, and I have to say I love it more and more each time I go. It's more than a tent, but less than a cabin, making it the perfect outdoor experience. It is right on the river, with great views of Half Dome and Yoesmite Falls. No matter where your... More

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights in September 2012 and LOVED it. Was a highlight of our month trip to the US. The cabins are concrete floored and canvas walled and not the cleanest but it was a great way to have a camping experience without having to buy tents etc. We bought a polystyrene chilli bin... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in September and we loved it. The tents are 3 concrete walls and a piece of canvas to close your cabin. There are many showers and washing machines. You can barbecue or have a campfire. There are many squirrels and we got company of a Racoon while we were sleeping ! Yosemite NP is... More

We arrived at Housekeeping Camp late on an October weekend. Check-in was at the campgrounds, and was quick and easy. Since we flew in from the East Coast, we spent the extra money to rent bedding rather than carry it on the airplane. It was $2.50 a night for a double bed pack (fitted and flat sheet for a double... We stayed at housekeeping Camp for 3 nights in late September 2012. Check-in was friendly & efficient but it was all down hill from there. Our stay coincided with the Hantavirus problems & we had been assured that extra cleaning had been done to minimise the risk of Deer Mouse faeces & urine being present. It was apparent that the... If you tent camp then this is for you. The space is more private. Some sites real close to the merced river. Any needed ammenties are within walking distance. Showers very clean, restrooms above average clean. Free shuttle around valley. All that and your in yosemite. Rent bikes, kayaks. Bone up a little as some of the hikes are strenuous.... More

Only having spent one night here and it being my first experience of 'camping' in North America, I can only compare to the many European campsites I have stayed at. Firstly, Yosemite is an absolutely stunning place and I cannot think of anywhere better to be under canvas. Staff at check-in were curteous and thorough. We easily found our 'tent';... More

This "camp" site has a great location just outside of Curry Village in Yosemite National Park. The "tents" have three concrete sides and a canvas side which slides open. Remember that it is camping, so mice, ringtails and other creatures can easily get into your tent in the night, knock your bags over and wake you up. Individual bear lockers... More
