The only better way to enjoy Yosemite would be accommodations at the Ahwahnee, but since they are so pricey, the Lodge is an awesome alternative. I had not stayed there since they had started room renovations, which were nicely done. Although our rooms were a bit dark, we were facing toward the falls, so it didn't matter. Besides, who stays... Ok so bottom line: this is like a 50's motel that has not been updated. However, given the alternatives (Camp Curry in a tent? Awahnee Hotel with those extreme prices? Or outside the park to spend ages driving in?) No way! This is the best deal ever! We had two adjacent ground floor rooms for one week. One room was... More

We stayed here for two nights and it was perfect. While the hotel has certainly seen better days, it's in the best location. It's less then a 5 minute walk to the waterfall, right next to the large fields and river, and you can access a lot of different trails right from the hotel, without moving your car or shuttle.... Stay at the Ahwanee if you possibly can, but if that's not possible the Lodge is alright for a night or two. Our room was very outdated and had mildew in the shower, but the bed was reasonably comfortable and the location is stellar. They should tear it down and build something fantastic with a dining room looking right at... More

Upon arrival, we were surprised at the age of the Lodge and noticed some of the dilapidated structures when driving in. It concerned us some, but we kept an open mind. My husband and I much prefer the old lodges than the new anyway. At check-in (no complaints) we were informed that our room was one of the newly remodeled... More

My review is strictly for the hotel and not the park , which I dearly love. This place needed to be rebuilt 30 years ago and things have only gone downhill since. Our room had big stains on the carpet , handles missing off one of the drawers, window not working properly, paint chipped and peeling in the bathroom, and... More

This time it was me, my partner and my parents, who were celebrating their 50th anniversary. We have stayed for two nights as part of a major trip to California, Vegas and NYC. The reservations staff has accomodated our request (I have wrote them a few weeks prior to our arrival) and have assigned us two rooms close to one... More

If you stay outside the park, you will drive for at least an hour to get into the Yosemite Valley, making the Lodge At The Falls worth the money. Not fancy, but accommodations in National Parks often are not. Who cares??? Yosemite Falls is right outside your door, the food choices are fine and mostly affordable, and there are beautiful... Accommodation is limited in the park but this is worth trying. Rooms are newly refurbished but basic and comfortable. Food outlets are basic and not cheap but a great base to explore the valley

Where else can you walk out of a lodge room and stare at Yosemite Falls? The rooms are a little dated but clean. The food at the cafeteria was pretty good and a little pricey, but there are not many choices without driving an hour. We ate three meals a day there from April 29-May 1.
