What a find! We loved staying at this B&B - sitting on the deck watching the sun go down (with our cheese and wine) after a long hike listening to the sound of silence was magical. Karen is very informative with her knowledge of Yosemite and cooks a great breakfast to set you up for the day. It felt like... More

Yosemite West High Sierra Bed and Breakfast is much more than what its name implies. While the beds and rooms are most comfortable and exceptionally clean, what sets this B&B apart is the personal attention; helpful recommendations; guidance for sightseeing and hiking; use of the wonderful "Great Room" with a great view, particularly at sunset; numerous "little things" that truly... We stayed in the Yosemite West High Sierra Bed and Breakfast for 4 nights in June 2012. The B & B is located about 25 minutes from the Valley but provides a perfect base for exploring the Yosemite. With careful planning i.e. eating before returning to the B&B, stocking up in advance on hiking supplies etc the distance from the... More

We had a 10 day stay in June 2012 and it was perfect. If you want a "base camp" for seeing all of Yosemite yet wish to have a luxury setting without the hassel of crowds, this is the spot for you. Karen's daily breakfasts were delicious and filling so that only two meals were needed for whatever activity you... More

Although this B&B is 25-30 minutes from any restaurant, if you plan your stay well, that won't be a problem. Often times we ate a late lunch and bought some cheese, crackers, wine and other goodies that we shared with the other guests on the deck in the evening. Only negative I would say is that the linens and towels... More

My husband and I stayed for three nights. The location of the B and B is wonderful. You are surrounded by trees and when you look out from the balcony at the top of the property it gives you a feeling that you are in a tree house. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the communal lounge, soft... More

Just returned from three days at the High Sierra B&B; it's a wonderful find. It is a bit outside town and you do have to be careful on the winding roads, but we had no problem locating it even in the dark using Karen's directions. Note that the 88 steps will be illuminated as you climb them, so even if... More

The best thing about this B&B is the owner - Karen. She is a fantastic resource for all things Yosemite; she even lets you borrow maps and binoculars! The rooms are super clean and breakfast is really yummy! Plan for 20-30 minutes to get to Yosemite Valley.

One of the reasons we like staying at B & B's is because generally the owners are usually very helpful. Karen did not disappoint. It was like having your own personal tour guide of the park. Her recommendations were spot on and she was super helpful. The B & B was probably one of the cleanest that I've stayed at.... More

This was the first time my wife and I ever stayed at a bed and breakfast, so we were a bit apprehensive. I am reluctant to give a stellar review because i know it will make it even harder to get a reservation for next year. but i must be honest. this place is wonderful. it is clean, purpose built...
