We had the feeling that this place was owned and managed by a large corporation and that no one had actually done a quality control review of the place in a long time. Here are the positives: - beautiful setting, - clean (hat tip to the cleaning crew who did a great job), - no hassles getting in - the pass code to open the door went smoothly. Here are things that need improvement: - It's a long drive to Yosemite Valley. We didn't realize how far we were going to be away from everything. - One window in the bedroom didn't have any window coverings. Very difficult to sleep in a bright room. - Kitchen - dishwasher was mangled, oven fan didn't work, didn't have tongs for cooking. - The steeply sloped driveway was icy and dangerous. The heat-traced gutters spill water out over the driveway that turns to a slick sheet of ice. - The hike up the significant staircase was not for the faint of heart - especially with luggage. - There was not ample room to park. - Lack of wifi was an inconvenience. The price was reasonable, but we won't be staying here again.

Terrible staff behavior!!! the worst I ever encounterd. We got stuck in the snow, the scenic wanders staff were rude, laughed at us and thretened us that they will leave us (kids and elderly people) stuck in the car in the snow through the night. There was a power outage (in the entire area -not their fault) but there were no flashlight and no extra blankets. Dont ever come near this place!!!!

We stayed in the Trout Creek Lodge managed by Scenic Wonders for four nights in January. The house was about 25 minutes from the entrance to Yosemite and we also made a day trip to Sequoia National Park from the house as well. The house was large and could easily accommodate up to eight to ten adults comfortably. The house has a large outdoor deck and the house backs up to a scenic creek. The cable and internet at the house worked well throughout our stay. The house was outfitted with a large kitchen and all the cooking utensils we needed. The house had an outdoor grill that we used twice. The hosts provided coffee, tea, and other basic items such as salt, pepper, foil, and parchment paper. We loved the bed in the master bedroom and slept very comfortably throughout our stay. We did use the chimney in the living room and it worked very well. We also used the hot tub on the back deck and it worked perfectly. The hosts provided towels, a hair dryer, hand soap, dish towels, paper towels, and laundry detergent. We had a few issues during our stay, but the management team assisted us and ensured we were taken care of. We were sad to leave at the end of our stay. The house is in a private and quiet neighborhood. Staying Tip: Bring your favorite house shoes or socks as the floors can get cold at night! Grocery Tip: We found good fire wood and other necessities at Grocery Outlet in Oakhurst. The items were reasonably priced.

We reserved a home through the National Park Reservations (Scenic Wonders) near Fish Camp. Please know that this lodging service is not connected to the National Park Service. The home looked great, but Yosemite is on fire and the area is under an Evacuation Warning so we tried to cancel. The Ahwahnee Hotel and lodging within the park is allowing for a full refund. National Parks Reservations does not. We will lose 25% of the reservation cost but a 10% booking fee. Buyer beware.

The house is generally nice. The stay was compromised by some serious issues of deferred maintenance. One of them is a huge potential liability: 1. There is a small parking pad in front, with a short (6 inch or so) curb along the edge. Below that edge is a sheer 10 foot drop. Someone prior to our arrival broke off part of the curb and part of the pad, near the front end closest to the house. The result is a hole approx. 2 foot diameter. If a car wheel fell into that hole, the car would be seriously damaged and immobilized. A small car could potentially tip over and fall down the ledge. A person stepping into that hole in the dark would be seriously hurt or killed. This kind of defect is completely unacceptable. You should stop renting it until this is repaired. 2. A sliding door onto the porch cannot be locked, as its handle and lock mechanism is missing. This makes the house insecure and easily robbed. 3. The master bedroom toilet has a sticking flush handle. The first time it was flushed, the flapper stayed open for hours as the water ran out. 4. There is a 1" gap beneath the front entrance door. Mice, snakes, etc. can easily enter.

We rented Park Place managed by Scenic Wonders and located in Yosemite West. It was perfect for our family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The instructions for finding the house were more than adequate and in fact, our sat nav located it accurately too. This accommodation had WiFi that worked well for us. We realised that we would be a long way from a store so shopped before travelling up to Yosemite. The kitchen was superbly equipped. We agreed with the description of 20 minutes to the Wawona tunnel. It was also an excellent spot to visit Glacier Point. We also walked to a fire lookout about 1 mile from Yosemite West. Scenic wonders staff called on night one to enquire if all was well and quickly sent someone to replace smoke detector and remote control batteries when we reported them. In summary, good location if you are happy to self cater.

Wonderful! Travelling from the UK for the trip of a lifetime, we spend 3 nights in Yosemite at the start of August with friends from San Francisco - 4 adults, 4 kids. I'd left it until March to book anything but was able to find Bird's Eye Vista, operated by Yosemite Scenic Wonders, and I'm so glad I did. The photos on their website really do not do the place justice, and I'd suggest to Scenic Wonders that they take some new ones. It has three lovely bedrooms, plus a 'spare bedroom/living room', three bathrooms and and a huge living / kitchen / dining area with high ceilings and all the comforts you need. Plenty of cooking utensils, loo roll, toiletries, towels, etc for 8 of us. No wi-fi, but that was actually a bonus in my book. And spotlessly clean throughout. All the windows had mosquito nets over them, which was essential in August to let the air in and keep the place cool. We weren't actually bothered by bugs at all while we were there. The keypad code that lets you in worked fine, although I did find locking it again on the first day a bit hit and miss. The kids loved exploring the property and enjoyed having so much space. The BBQ on the balcony was perfect and the sunset view over the trees so good. Location-wise, I was really happy with Yosemite West. I was desperate to stay in the park and not have to queue at the entrance each day, and I'd spent months beforehand worrying about summer traffic in Yosemite and how to avoid it. Yosemite West was the perfect location in this regard. We arrived on Thursday 1st August and stopped at Tunnel View on the way in. Friday we got up early and drove about 20 minutes to get to Yosemite Valley before 9am. We got parked with no problems and spent the day using the shuttle buses to get to different hikes, waterfalls, swimming and so on. Saturday we went up to Glacier Point in the morning. Glacier Point Road is only a 5 minute drive from Yosemite West and we avoided the traffic easily. After lunch back at the house, in the afternoon we drove about 25 minutes south to Mariposa Grove to see the amazing sequoia trees. Then back for another BBW and to enjoy the view from Bird's Eye Vista. It was the most amazing stay, giving lifelong friends, now living on different continents, the chance to spend a weekend together with their families in one of the most beautiful spots on earth. Perfect!

We spent four nights at a condominium managed by Scenic Wonders Vacation Homes & Condos. Although this place is within the Yosemite National Park, not many people who work at the Park know about it because of a quirk of history. The land was acquired in the 19th Century by a Canadian Lumber company which later sold its land to a private company or to private individuals. Hence this is an area that is not controlled by the National Park. It is situated after Glacial Point, around 45 minutes from Yosemite's valley and not the 15-20 minutes stated in their brochure, so it's quite a long way away from the hub of the park, with an hour and half round trip to get to Yosemite Waterfall or the General Grocery Store. There is nobody on duty in the condos in case something happens. There is a telephone to ring but sometimes there is nobody to answer it. It was engaged on two occasions that I rang. You are given a code (your last 4 digits of your telephone and you are left to figure out where your condo is situated). The condos themselves are well appointed and spacious but nothing fancy. There is a fridge, stove, microwave, a large assortment of kitchen utensils such as pots and pans, crockery and cutlery, a large propane fireplace, with a big table and two large beds. The room comes with a terrace. There is also ample parking room for cars. The main problem for us is that it was hard to find in the dark and misty evening. The numbering of the place did not appear to follow a set pattern. Once there, it was relatively easy but at one point we did feel that we were going to sleep in our car as we just could not find the place. We booked it because we thought we would be close to the valley. There is sporadic internet connection. Vending and ice machines are available. We were snowed in one day and it was only at the end of the afternoon that somebody came around with some lanterns just in case the electricity did not come back that evening. Fortunately, we did not need to use them and the propane for the fire did not run out. The map provided to fin the Condos is not fit for purpose as it seems to assume that you know the area well. It is a rabbit warren with many houses dotted around the area. The toiletries provided were minimal This place would certainly suit a small family that wants a quiet life. There is nothing to do in the area apart from hiking and going to Glacial Point, which is five minutes away on the main road. However, going to the Valley is a long way and the price charged does not reflect this inconvenience.

Had the pleasure of staying at Rockypoint Cabin and must say the pictures pale in comparison to the real deal! The rooms all have beautiful views and are well appointed. The home is very clean, with a well stocked kitchen, comfy sheets and linens and it is obvious that the owner has taken the time to decorate it lovingly and with great attention to detail. The landscaping is beautiful and minimal so as not to distract from the beauty all around you. I'm so glad I was able to visit at a time when the waterfalls were ferocious! Thank you Lynda and Holly for the opportunity! The beautiful fresh flowers throughout the home was an added way to make us feel special.

We recently spent 5 nights in Yosemite West at the Yosemite Crossroads property managed by Scenic Wonders Vacation Rentals. Overall, our experience was very good. We would have no problem working with this vacation rental company again if trying to find place to stay in the Yosemite West area of the National Park. Our reservation was made around 9 months in advance. Communication with Scenic Wonders was quite good. Questions were answered in a timely fashion. Our lodge was clean and tidy when we arrived. Importantly, all facets of the lodge were as described on the Scenic Wonders website. There were no hidden surprises that we encountered throughout our stay. As such, if you simply do a search on Yosemite Crossroads property on their website, you will see exactly what to expect of this property. Of note, there is a side room next to the dinning area that can be used as a 4th bedroom. The living room and TV room furniture was comfortable. The entertainment system a bit complex but there are instructions for how to make use of everything. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking most meal types. Fridge is large enough to hold quite a bit of perishable food items. We found beds to be quite comfortable and we slept very well. The laundry room was locked when we arrived. A quick call to the management office and someone was there in 10 minutes to unlock so we could wash our clothes. Note, there is no phone reception or wifi at this particular property. You can drive over to the management office if this is something you need during your stay. Tip: Stock up on food items prior to entering the park. The supermarket at Wawona is rather basic with mostly essentials only. The market at Yosemite Valley is ok but parking is challenging and the shop is very crowded. We did much better stocking up on food items at Trader Joe's north of Fresno before entering Yosemite NP from the South. Tip: Definitely print a map of Yosemite West before trying to find the Yosemite Crossing lodge. It is in the back and requires some driving on windy roads before eventually reaching the property. Otherwise, just have a good time in this well kept and homey lodge in one of America's finest National Parks. We'd definitely consider staying here again for a multiple day visit to Yosemite.
