Stayed for 2 nights and was pleasantly surprised on arrival to receive a 2 room upgrade to one of the 19th floor Penthouse Suite rooms with a nice view of Diamond Head and partial ocean view, and our pre arrival request for an early check in was accommodated which we appreciated. The room was a bit tired but had comfortable... More

We stayed here for two nights and were very pleased. We were upgraded unexpectedly to a Jr. suite - Rm 1916 -penthouse floor. It was the most fabulous view every with Diamondhead and the beach. Room was very nice, clean and in great shape. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Thanks for making our first trip to Hawaii so great.... More

I was excited to go to Hawaii for the first time, and i know i expect a lot. We were staying there for our short honeymoon, stayed 4 nights and we booked for a ocean view room with a king bed. We were checked in in a partial ocean view room (which turned out to be better than what they... More

Arriving at 2pm, we were quickly checked in, and were in our room on the 17th floor in minutes. The reception staff was very efficient and friendly. We had requested a Diamond Head view room, and were definitely not disappointed. Lying on the very comfortable king size bed in the spacious, clean room, the first thing we saw right in... More

The Queen Kapiolani is a good budget hotel in Waikiki, where hotels are can be very pricey. We flew in from San Diego for my cousin's wedding, so were looking for a place walking distance to the beach but also within our budget. We booked a standard room for $127 a night, but were upgraded to a City View room... More

This hotel was inexpensive so you get what you pay for. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Waikiki but is still within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful so checkin/out was a breeze. The room was okay but the bathroom was not very clean. I found dead bugs on the basin every... More

The hotel itself is nice. The location is great, only one block from beautiful Waikiki beach, plenty of shopping and food options nearby. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good also. But the room, the "standard room", was awful. Just to clarify, we got a good deal for the standard room, so we fully expected that... More

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Queen Kapiolani as we celebrated our 49th Anniversary. We had a corner ocean view room on the 12th floor, and the view was spectacular - Diamond Head, the ocean, and the zoo down below. It was fun to watch the elephants and hear the tropical birds in the morning. The staff... More
