My bf and I stayed here in aug, 2012. Boy, what a disappointment this was... We will never return. After reading some reviews, I thought it would be good bc it's so close to the mansions and Bellevue ave. but the area is in a BAD area. I only noticed that it was in the "seedy part of town ad... It is regrettable that you may have misunderstood that our location is in a middle class residential area closer to the shops downtown on West Broadway and Thames Street than the Bellevue mansions. You are absolutely correct in your observation that you must do research when touring. I have been in many cities spanning three continents and have learned that... More

So my husband and I booked this place last minute with very little expectations, but I have to say for the price you cant beat it. They didn't require any minimum night stays, and were very reasonably priced even in the high season. The only comments we read about the place said the neighborhood was a little "seedy" but we... We stayed there for one night. The room was ok but the hostess was very nice. We got there late but she still waited up for us.

Stayed here in June 2008. The rooms were OK but definitely in slightly seedy part of town despite being next door to the police station. Innkeeper not to be seen. Asked the cleaner if there was a hairdryer and she suggested we take a drive and stick our head out of the window.. and she was serious. Dubious looking staff... More

Our experience at the Las Palmas Inn was incredible! From the moment we arrived until departure was terrific! We were greeted by the hostess/manager ANNIE -- and she just made our stay spectacular. The inn is immaculate and located in a wonderful area. Close to shopping and fabulous restaurants. No worry of spending money on gas! Every need is met... More

This is the best (clean and safe) location for the money in Newport. I found this place after looking on Trip Advisor and I agree that this is a wonderful place to stay in Newport. Me and two of my girlfriends stayed here for the weekend and it was always clean, the front door stayed locked, breakfast was delicious and... More

After reading the great reviews we booked our stay at Las Palmas. We have been to many B&B's and this one was disappointing. First the good news. It was clean, the bed was comfortable and it was within walking distance to downtown, but here is the bad news. The neighborhood was a bit seedy, the hostess was not there when... More

I stayed at Las Palmas for a weekend getaway with my boyfriend. Not only were the rates unbeatable, but the location was downtown --a lot of shops and restaurants within a 5 minute walk... The rooms were very clean and the staff was very pleasant. We are planning to stay there again this summer. I would give the Inn an... More
