We stayed 5 nights in the Crockett Suite and loved it! Michael and Hector are perfect hosts. Friendly, helpful and great chefs!!! The house has a lot of atmosphere, the room was spotlessly clean, and the porch made it possible to sit outside and enjoy the evening with a glass of wine even when it rained. We would love to... We loved this place. Sweet couple, excellent breakfast, clean and beautiful house. Good location; right down the street from a bus stop that goes straight to downtown. Nothing bad to say. :) Very romantic and like home.

My husband and I recently stayed at the B&B in the Carriage House. It was wonderful! Quiet, private and a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of downtown. I had a convention downtown, and it took just minutes to drive dowtown and park in a parking garage, or if I had chosen, I could have taken the bus, which... More

We staying in San Antonio in March 2013 and found this establishment incredibly inviting and relaxing. This was the most pleasant stay I have had staying in another city. They truly ruin the hotel experience.

I was in San Antonio for a convention downtown at the end of January and start of February, and decided I wanted to avoid the heavily tourist-oriented city centre. What a good idea because my search led me to 1908 Ayres Inn, and five very restorative days. My room, the Travis, was tastefully decorated, giving me the feel of being... More

We stayed at 1908 Ayres Inn in March 2013 and had a wonderful time. The carriage house (really, a former garage) was very well-appointed and modern, the bed wasn't too soft (a rare find these days), and the bathroom was spacious. Couldn't ask for more. Mike and Hector were both fantastic hosts, great cooks, and very helpful. Would happily stay... More

We stayed for three nights on our first trip to San Antonio (but not our last). The house was beautiful and Mike and Hector were super friendly and very accommodating. Breakfasts were delicious and other goodies were available around the clock. The house was clean and quiet, bed was oh so nice, and our Bonham room upstairs was just a... More

We booked two rooms for a two week stay at the Ayres Inn and enjoyed every minute of our time spent there. Great home, cooked breakfasts, beautifully appointed and immaculate rooms, friendly hosts, comfortable sitting rooms, included amenities (coffee, snacks, fruit), lovely upscale nieghbourhood, close to restaurants, easy access to tourist attractions, great running routes... I could go on and... More
