If you're visiting Brown University, the hotel choices are surprisingly limited. This hotel is separated from the campus area by a highway but it's pretty easy to walk over or under it. Best of all parking is free (you'll pay $25/day downtown). wi-fi is free too.

We have stayed at the Wyndham many times while visiting Providence. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are newly renovated and very nice - sleep number beds and flat-screen TV are very nice. You cannot find a better deal in Providence. We never stay anywhere else and always look forward to our next visit.

Recently stayed here in a nice room with a water view. Upon entering the hotel I was warmly greeted by the assistant general manager who was extremely warm and inviting. When I walked into the hotel I was suprised when I was warmly welcome by the front desk staff and even the assistant manager. Recently stayed here for huge Gaming Convention in Providence. Only place we could find as we booked late. Was concerned about locale; had heard some things, but was pleasantly surprised. The sleeping rooms have been recently renovated but the bathrooms have not as of yet. The meeting rooms are currently being redone as well with fresh paint. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Sara in the bar tender and waitress is very good at Jeopardy so be careful if you take her on.

Hotel was lovely...Rooms a good size...Bathroom a very good size. Flat screen large television. Only complaint was that the beds were supposed to be heated, and mine didn't work. Restaurant was a little pricey but food was good and service was very friendly. Having Starbucks coffee was a nice perk as well. No pun intended.

We go up to visit our daughter at Brown several times a year. We often used Priceline and got a good price on the 4 star hotels in Providence. One weekend, we didn't get the price we wanted and I had to expand down to 3 stars. We got the Wyndham Garden, and since then it's been our first choice....
