Big room, comfy bed, nice bathroom, friendly people, convenient downtown location near restaurants and shopping, got a great price.

Our reservations were for 4 people. Upon our arrival we were told they only had a room with a king bed! and they brought in a roll away bed. Sorry, how do three men and one female work this out?? Totally unacceptable. Not an outstanding stay. Our meals were mediocre but pricey. I would not recommend this hotel to friends.

I stayed at the Renaissance Providence Hotel last week for a business conference. The location is very good, close to shopping, restaurants and nightlife. The hotel used to be a Masonic Temple and there are signs of this throughout the hotel. The restaurant was a little pricey considering the food quality, but that could just be the northeast prices since... More

Thank-you for your kind feedback and suggestions. We are in the process of constructing our outdoor patio with wonderful views of the Rhode Island State Capitol Building right across the street. On your next visit you will be able to enjoy this as it will be completed mid-June and ready for the warm weather. Hopefully your travels will take you... More

We are frequent visitors to Providence but this was our first time at the Renaissance. We are Hilton lovers and usually stay there. We got a very attractive rate from Priceline negotiator. This hotel is usually significantly higher priced than the Hilton (for a good reason), but our trip was last minute and we took a chance on Priceline's "name... More

I had the pleasure to stay in the Renaissance Providence for a full week, attending a conference. This hotel is excellent in every respect - great location in a historic building next to the Capitol and in walking distance to the city centre; elegant and comfortable rooms with all amenities you would expect; friendly and attentive staff; a nice restaurant... Since this is a retrofitted building, I was surprised at how the Renaissance Providence has spacious rooms that are well decorated and modern. The meeting rooms were great (though slightly hard to navigate between the floors). The hotel is also conveniently located near the Mall and also near the Amtrak South Station.

I stayed at the Renaissance in Providence for work 4/8-4/13. The room I was given was a exceptional in terms of style and had a view of the capital. My only downside with the room, was that I could never quite get it as cold as I would have liked. The Hotel staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The executive... More

Large rooms, elegant decor, nice gym, excellent food, and superior housekeeping services---what's not to love? The Temple restaurant had delucious mediterreanean inspired food. Meeting facilities were also excellent and the location next to the Mall was a nice plus.
