We've stayed at this KOA many times and it is in a very convenient location with a great view. We've always rented a cabin, which is a cost efficient way of staying with a nice warm shelter. If the campground is full, there can be a wait to get into the showers, but if you go at non-peak time it... More

I have stayed here 3 times over the past 7 years. Each stay the service has been good, the cottage is clean and the bathroom are spotless. I haven't really stayed a long time walking around the camp ground or anything like that but if you are looking for a place close to national park and wanting to keep the... More

I do not normally leave bad reviews, but I am very disappointed with KOA. Had reserved a site at the Estes Park KOA. Told them we were upgrading our camper. When I called back with upgrade info, they could not accommodate it. Too long. The gal said their campground had been there long before all the new RVs. Guess they... More

I are somewhat dismayed by this review... To begin, KOA has a nationwide cancellation policy. So as not to spend hours explaining all the possible cancellation scenarios, KOA just says that if you cancel for ANY reason before our no deposit return period, the campground will just keep a small cancellation fee (usually $10) and return the rest of your... Although living only 30mins away, we wanted to take a weekend trip out to Estes Park to take all the beauty in. After looking for several places to stay & came up short, we found the KOA and booked our Kabin for the weekend. This was suppose to be prime leaf viewing time, so you can imagine how hard it... Estes Park KOA is set on the side of hill, offering tent camping, RV parking with all hookups including cable, Electric, water, pinic tables. The one thing though is you are very close together, the pop up camper area is like parking in any local store, about 10ft separating you and your neighbor. They do have cabins for rent, but... More

We had rented several cabins, RV sites, and tent sites,We had requested to be put all together in cabins, RV sites, but to no avail,we were spread out all through the park. On booking the cabins, specific cabins were book with the owners wife, well all that effort was a total waste of time, they gave the cabins to others,... More

Well... where do we begin. This is going to be complicated. First, I guess, it goes without saying there are virtually always two sides to every story. This group, they called themselves the "South African" group, called months ago and wanted to arrange a large group reunion over Labor Day Weekend 2012. We insisted that the group leader and organizer,... More

We knew they would be full on labor day weekend, but there is such a thing as "NO VACANCY". This park was so over crowded! I made RSVP 3 months in advance telling them that I was in a 38' Rv with two slides. They were happy to take my reservation and deposit. I booked this using the KOA catalog... More

We come to Estes Park every July and always stay at Spruce Lake Campground. This year, because of the fires in this and the surrounding area in late June, we cancelled our reservation. On our way back from Oregon, with fires all contained, we decided to pass through Estes Park on our way home and see if we could get... More

I did not want to leave. The view from the front of my cabin was like living in a multi-million dollar home. There is a horse stable next door and you can pet the horses for free:) The ice cream social is fun. The store sells for less than the grocery store up the street. Lake Estes is across the... More

While we like favorable reviews, this particular review seems to have been written by a VERY close friend and therefore biased. We are definitely not dirt cheap, but we do have million dollar views. We hope anyone reading this response will take the "Dirt Cheap" with a grain of salt (as it were) and check us out. All of us... More
