The new owners of the motel totally changed the motel for the better. It's now one of the best places to stay in Albuquerque if you're looking for a cheap, clean, conveniently located motel with a welcoming atmosphere. The historic plaza is just a few minutes walking distance away. But what impressed me the most is the extraordinary commitment of... More

Stopped here May 7th on the way home from a three-week road trip out west. (three adults and a Boston Terrier) Didn't have a clue where to stay in Albuquerque. Just knew I didn't want to spend $$$$. It's an Econo Lodge so I wasn't expecting wonderful. The night we checked in, the wind was crazy and the temp was... More

I recently just got back from my yearly vacation to Albuquerque Old Town. I stay at Econo lodge on central because it in 2 blocks of the plaza and everything I need is right there. This year I was in for a surprise. Over the last few years it seem to go down hill but this year I met the... More

I have stayed here several times and the last time (November 2011) the place was beginning to seem like a dump. Reluctantly I booked a room there for this month, March 2012. What a pleasant surprise to find new owners who truly care about the property and are committed to making much needed improvements to the property. They had already... More

While it may not be the fanciest or priciest lodging in Albuquerque, what it lacked in luster, it easily made up for in location, value, cleanliness and friendliness of ownership. My wife and I needed a clean motel, close to the Paseo Del Basque bike trailhead, I-40, decent restaurants and Old Town. Not too much to choose from in that... More

I stayed here with my boyfriend for 6 nights while attending an event in town and doing some sightseeing. The location was convenient; walking distance to Old Town, short drive to get on I-40 and to go to the zoo and botanical garden. The hotel was about what you would expect for an Econo Lodge. We got a room with... More

There was mold around the bathtub and under the rim of the toilet. The bottom of the tub was brown instead of white. We didn't use it. The breakfast was minimal so we went to McDonalds which was much better. The price was low and the location was convenient to old town.
