We only stayed 1 night so the accomodation was adequate. we booked a suite but only got a room with separate bathroom. We found it most strange that a fridge & microwave were provided but no plates, cutlery etc so if you wanted to heat up food in the microwave, there was no means to eat it! We opted to... More

Stayed a night here with the familiy in a 2 bedroom interconnecting unit. Was fine but this place really is now quite dated. Its got everyting you need but dont expect the Ritz......especially not in Kaitaia...lol! Good: Friendly staff....The bar area.......Sky TV with sport & movies in room....Free Wifi internet (get the wireless key/pin from the office).......Pool & Spa.....fridge with... More

We stayed 2 nites at orana motor inn in kaitaia. Our room was very clean well appointed with everything one would need From good supply tea coffee towels soaps. The room was very small just big enough for 2 people. We were lucky had rooms in the pool area which were nicer and more modern than the rooms with car... More

This motel was built and decorated in the 70's and they have managed to keep it clean and mostly working since then with no upgrades or changes, it would appear. Amazing. The manager is helpful and friendly. The tiny room works, has a comfy bed and soft fluffy towels. The bathroom functions but is so small and just not up... More

Room was perfectly adequate for our one night stay with all the amenities you needed including fridge, microwave etc. Clean and tidy. What really sold it was the fabulous food and the really warm welcome and helpfulness of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Was recommended to us and would happily recommend to others.

Decent sized room, however a little dated. Which is the theme throughout the motel. Really needs to be brought into 2012. Rooms have basic home brand appliances which are cheap and weren't the greatest. For price of the room and having stated at many other motels, I would suggest staying elsewhere. However I'm advised it the pick of the bunch... More

We stayed two nights, wished we had seen the rooms first before booking. Have never stayed in anything so tiny before in our lives (locally or overseas). Just a bed with a TV at the foot of it and a desk (it was more cramped than our caravan)! We felt like backpackers. The heating was commical, the old fashioned two... More

Clean, welcoming, friendly staff. Thanks to Peter for the covered area for the motorbikes and advice of calling into Monganui the next day. Breakfast was excellent and room was big, spacious and clean. Only improvement could have been an illuminated sign with hotel name on; arriving after dark took a couple of goes to find the place that's all.

We stayed here. based on reviews from Tripadvisor. While I can't fault the friendly staff, the accommodation was very disappointing. The family suite we booked was tiny and didnot even have a kitchen sink or bench to prepare food. There was no plates/cutlery either. There was no couch/sofa to sit on, which was also disappointing given we booked a larger suite.... More

Have stayed here twice now, first time with my 10 year old and this time by myself. Both times that staff have been very welcoming and friendly. The motel itself has all the basics and they are done well! This is a very comfortable location to base yourself in Kaitaia. Had a great nights sleep despite the awesome thinderstorm going... More
