Short and simple review: the campsite was spacious with enough facilities for everyone. The best bit is the location though: right on the beach. Perfect for morning swims. For a cheap-as-chips, no frills, off-the-beaten-track wholesome camping experience, look no further.

We stayed in a comfort cabin which was clean and comfortable but looked a little tired due to the age of the cabin. A bit pricey too but I guess you are paying for the location which is incredible (and definitely worth it). So yes I would stay here again.

Great atmosphere for family, beautiful Hahei beach 2 minutes walk, 10 minutes to the shops, not really walking distance to the Cathedral Cove carpark. Cabin was a bit grubby, small and old overall just ok.

Top location but the suite at villa comlex are not worth the money. Actually one of the worst rooms during my NZ travel. Smelly room, bath heater not working, batteries for room heater empty. Money had to be paid before checking the room. I would have left the place if it was not late in the evening
