Good experience, with a great beach and plenty of restaurants close by, great weather, and quite lively during the beach hours and livier at night. Great food, unexpensive. Montanita Cabanas are located in a beautiful setting - a 5 minute walk from the beach and lively bar scene. There's a fantastic swimming pool, loads of hammocks, a communal kitchen and even a jacuzzi! We stayed here for a few nights and we ended up leaving early. Montanita in general is a "gringo" party town with some good surfing. If that is what you are looking for in Ecuador then go here, but stay somewhere else. Montanita Cabanas catters to young tourist who want to party and take a few hours of Spanish classes.... More

Is there anything better than laying in a hammock here, listening to the waves pound the shore, sipping an ice-cold Brahma? I think not.
