We were lucky enough to stay at Casa Divina because our new friends from an earlier trip in Ecuador invited us to join them in the activities they had planned through the retreat. We took one look at the facilities and we were hooked. (We had actually already paid to stay at another hotel in Mindo for 2 nights and... More

This is a very relaxing, exotic place that is only 2 hours from Quito and yet boasts a wide array of activities all coordinated and accompanied by one of the innkeepers, Efrain Topanta. Efrain is a certified guide and expert on the birds in the area. Mindo is renowned for the great numbers and variety of birds. Put those two... More

Our first trip to Ecuador and what better place to start our holiday. The accomodation is amazing, the outlook from your treehouse is a nature lovers dream. The birdlife was everywhere, even with the afternoon rain the toucans were near our balcony just watching us relaxing in the hammock. Even if you aren't a birdo, you can't help but enjoy... More

This is a clean, comfortable, peaceful, and overall great lodge in the middle of Mindo. I cannot emphasize the cleanliness factor, especially in the middle of a cloud forest. Molly and Effrin (the owners/operators) are really great. We did zip lining, butterfly farm (don't miss this one), and a visit to the cock of the rock. Hikes to these excursions... More

Buyer Beware. Molly, the owner, is more interested in taking your money than treating you as a customer fairly. Let me explain. We are a family of five with 3 young children currently in Quito. We made the mistake of reserving casa divina with a credit card a day in advance (bad idea). Well of course, our plans changed the... More

My partner and I loved our stay at Casa Divina. Molly and Efrain are great hosts, the lodge is beautiful, all of the food they served was delicious, and we really enjoyed sharing family style meals with the other guests.

Despite 2 days of solid rain, we had a delightful time at Casa Divina. One of the first things I saw when we arrived at the property was a Blue Morpho butterfly. I have always wanted to see one in the wild and it was a delight. Also seen from the lodge were hummingbirds, parakeets, toucans, quetzals and more. We... More

This place is a little bit out of town but worth the journey. I could feel the stress melt away as we walked through the beautiful grounds to our 2 storey cabin. Everything is so lovely, I would highly recommend staying here. The food was great and the service impeccable. As for the distance from town, it is a nice... More

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights this month. More than we usually pay but it felt very worth it. We were the only people staying there during the pre-holiday lull and we enjoyed the quiet and solitude. it is only a 20 minute walk or so into town. Food was excellent, both breakfast and dinner are included with... More

Stayed here as a "rest" after a busy 2 weeks in Peru. Loved the lodge, ours was at the back and we had no-one underneath. Very relaxing and restful, especially afternoon naps in the hammock. We had booked the birding package with Efrain who is a wonderful and knowledgeable guide and very keen to share his enthusiasm. We are not... More
