Hosts John and Marlene know New Bedford, they know the important role it had in the Underground Railroad, and they are dedicated to sharing with visitors. Their home is lovely, food was terrific, hospitality the best. Location very convenient. We can't wait to have a reason to return!

I have been going to New Bedford Massachusetts for the past several years. My most pleasant experience has been at Dasvenport House. The family is extremely sweet, open and caring. They have an excellent morning breakfast. The room is lovely and the bathroom an experience. I would recommend the master bedroom. Give yourself a chance to enjoy the shower sauna.

We had 2 fabulous nights at the Davenport House. The house is gorgeous, our room was spotless, and Marlene and John, the hosts, are the most courteous innkeepers I've ever met.
