We stayed here for a week May/June 2013. It was relaxing with helpful staff. They even told us where to hire a car. The guys driving us to and from the local restaurants in the shuttle were great and always willing to share their local knowledge. The pool was very quiet, we often had it to ourselves. The perfect place... More

We were really glad that we picked this place. it was perfect for us that this wasn't a giant resort. We visited Grand Wailea during our stay to enjoy Spa Grande and the resort felt less like Hawaii and more like Vegas. Hotel Wailea has superior service, impossibly gorgeous grounds and all the convenience you need while still feeling somewhat... More

If you don't like huge conference type hotels than Hotel Wailea is a great option for you! It sits a top a hill overlooking four major hotels all with rooms starting at two to three times the price of a room at the Hotel Wailea. Yes, housekeeping is very slow in getting the rooms cleaned and the rooms are a... More

We stayed at the hotel the week of March 17th, 2013 for 7 nights and loved it - we would absolutely go back. Our room was an upstairs 'panoramic' view room that was un-renovated. Our room did not seem dirty to us (as others have said) - it was somewhat dated and worn, but not dirty. The deck and view... More

When booking this hotel it is important to go through the hotel itself and not an internet source as there is a major difference between the newly renovated and older rooms. Although the rooms we saw may or may not be typical, the un-renovated room had stained furniture, torn carpeting, and peeling paint. The newer room was like a modern... More

We stayed at one of the non-renovated rooms like the other reviewer posted. The staff is very nice and makes sure you have a comfortable stay. The negatives are lack of cleanliness. We were paying around $250/night for our stay and the neatness of the rooms was far from adequate. The first night we were there I noticed a sticky... More

Aloha, First of all, thank you so much for the valuable feedback you provided following your visit to Hotel Wailea. My sincere apologies for the poor floor condition you described. We are currently in the beginning stages of completely remodeling every room, as well as the pool / spa area. We are also implementing new housekeeping systems for an overall... More

I have been there for my honeymoon. The rooms are very big and confortable. Everybody were amazing with us. The room view is really breathtaking. In the morning, for breakfast, you can share your bagel with the birds around you :)

I recently planned a visit to Maui to visit my daughter. She recommended that I stay at the Hotel Wailea. I was somewhat skeptical of the property, since it wasn't beachfront. However, I had a great experience there. It is definitely not a resort, so one should not expect all of those amenities. I really liked that the units are... More

We chose the Hotel Wailea as a place to enjoy the beauty of Maui, recharge our batteries and have a little space to spread out. While it is not directly on the beach, we chose a one bedroom that afforded a view of the ocean framed by lush landscape. If you are into beaching it, there are cabanas available outside... More
