Buffalo Rock B&B is a real treasure. Located in a pleasant Black Hills forest setting with a wonderful view of Mount Rushmore from the deck. The rooms are large and well appointed, with fine linens and a hot tub in each room. Food - Wow!! Great breakfasts and a homemade dessert to finish off the day, served with a full... More

We recently spent 2 nights with Marilyn and Art. They have an amazing home and we immediately felt at home and very well taken care of. The room and bed were both clean and comfortable. We were served evening desserts and hot tea each day..wow, they were amazing! I had mentioned that I was looking forward to Art's bacon because... More

While looking for the perfect, yet affordable, place to stay for our honeymoon, I read hundreds of reviews. Buffalo Rock Lodge grabbed my attention because of the promised view. Let me just say, all of the excellent reviews on here are an understatement. This place is tucked out of the way, a perfect distance from town. The view, while far... More

Our first night in South Dakota...Marilyn made us completely at home with a homemade dessert. Breakfasts were wonderful, we actually didn't need to eat again until dinner. We got well described directions to each place we wanted to go each day. My husband and I had a peaceful, relaxing 3 nights here...wish the lodge was closer so we could stay... More

Our gracious & knowledgeable hosts prepared us with daily sightseeing tips and big, hot breakfasts. After fun-filled days exploring, we felt spoiled driving past the cheap, touristy motels up to our luxurious Log Cabin. This home is beautiful! Our room was large, with magnificent log beams and claw-footed tub. We loved exploring this fascinating home! Each night, we relaxed on... More

It is a beautiful location, but disappointed when we arrived to be told they were having problems with their well, iron problems.

My boyfriend and I spent 3 weeks in the Blackhills and the Badlands and this was probably the best lodging we stayed at. We stayed 4 nights in the Annie Talent room. It was by far the largest bedroom I have ever stayed in featuring two large double beds, a large jacuzzi tub in the corner of the bedroom and... More

We stayed in the Peter Norbeck room at the Buffalo Rock Lodge for four days. My husband and I stay exclusively at bed and breakfasts inns, and the Buffalo Rock Lodge rates among our top ten. Pros: The view, the view the view. Our room had a view of Mount Rushmore. The room was large and comfortable. Art's breakfast--particularly his... More

My husband and I planned a last minute trip that happened to fall over Sturgis and thanks to a last minute cancellation we had the opportunity to stay at Buffalo Rock. Our room was wonderful, the home was beautiful, Art could not have made better breakfast if he ran a restaurant, and Marylin could not have been a more wonderful... More
