My family and I were very impressed with the Family Suite. The room was clean and our family of five never felt cramped. The continental breakfast was a good way to start the day. Also, the close proximity to all activities in the Mount Rushmore area was definitely a plus. Lastly, the staff at the Rushmore Express was extremely helpful.... More

My husband and 3 children, ages 3-8, stayed here for 4 nights and will probably not stay here again unless they do some renovations. We have stayed in many hotels from Motel 6 to Mariotts, and this one was similar to Motel 6...a little creepy. First the positive-the room size was great! We were in Room 131 which had 2... More

This hotel is central located in Keystone Rushmore area, it is alittle hard to find, behind the Roosevelt Inn on old cemetary road. It is not by the cemetary though so dont worry, it is average. We stayed in a two queen bed hotel room with out door access. It was a long ways to a tiny pool. The hot... More

My husband and I stayed at the Rushmore Express 3 nights last week. I would never stay there again. Though the desk employees were very friendly and helpful, it didn't make up for the way over priced rooms. Don't let the pictures on their website fool you. I don't know where those rooms were, but our room was tiny, poorly... More

Out dated room, tiny bathroom. No water pressure in the shower. Hard to get to sleep because the walls & ceilings are paper thin. I felt like the beds & pillows were worn out & the blanket gave me the creeps.

After reading the reviews of this hotel, and because the KBarSLodge was full our first night, we stayed here and were to say the least shocked at the condition of the room(s). Outside of the rooms were two plastic chairs with a large cigarette ashtray, some filled with butts, sitting on top of the air conditioner unit. When the first... More

My family and I stayed 3 nights in this hotel. First of all, the front desk was very helpful and provided us a lot of information for first-timers to Rushmore. The pool was very refreshing and clean but the hot tube was way to hot! The exercise room was nice, cool and clean. The beds were a little soft for... More

We stayed in rm 336 on 22-23 July 2010, paid rack rate of $179/night. For that, we got two double beds and a double-sized sleeper, easily accomodating our two adults and three kids. The beds and the pillows were fine. Our stay was pleasant and satisfactory in every respect. During 24 years in the military I stayed in dozens of... More

The pictures you see online show a nice, updated lobby. The hallways were also updated with new carpet and wall trim, but the second you open the door to the room you're in 1970's hell with dollar store decor. We had a "family suite". The ONLY window was next to the door. It was double paned with honeycomb wires through... More

I was planning a 9 day trip to the Mt. Rushmore, Rapid City area and chose to stay at this hotal because of the family suites available. The family suite was very large, just as advertised and the pictures are the same as the web site, and I will post some. I looked at the other rooms because of what... More
