This a solid and robust stone built building and you feel as if you are in a 16th century mansion. The rooms are spacious and well decorated and the staff are helpful and give good tips for eating out. Breakfast was a huge hot and cold buffet. Highly recommended

This past August 2011 my wife and I travelled for 2 weeks in Spain. Among our stays was the Parador de Plasencia. The ambience was amazing with all the stone architecture. The room was perfect, with a sitting room and comfortable bed. It was also very clean with lots of toiletries in the bathroom including toothbrushes and shaving cream set... More

This is one of our preferred parador. Location, rooms and restaurant are simply perfect. Easy to find and big protected parking. The service on the few outside tables could be better. We sincerely ca recommand this parador to all visitors of the northern part of Extremadura.

The stay was just perfect, the service and reception were helpful and kind. I will go back for sure. A good place to get lost and have a good rest with no surprises at all.

A fifteenth century convent which in places seemed more like a castle. The rooms set around a large cloistered courtyard are accessed by a sweeping stone staircase. The bar and restaurant felt as if they were from a medieval castle. Conveniently located just inside the city walls with great access to the town. The car park (accessed by a lift)... More

This parador is beautiful renovated. The rooms were very nice and clean. There is no parking in front of the parador, and the parador;s parking is very hard to find. It's located in the back of the parador, outside the city walls. (There is an elevator that will take you and your car to the garage). Park on the street... More

Stayed here for two nights and enjoyed it. Located in the historic centre of the town in an impressive 15th-17th Century convent. Room was large but bathroom could be bigger and a bit more modern. Recreation area and lobby were quite amazing. There is a small and very flat pool: Not really for swimming but nice for refreshing. Rooms rates... More

This is one of the best Paradors I've stayed in. It's a former convent and the building has been sensitively restored in such a way that you feel transported back in time (but with all the luxuries of a modern hotel, of course!) It's worth exploring the many corridors and public areas of the hotel because the furniture and decoration... More

This wonderful building is a delight to stay in - beautiful spaces, large bedrooms, history exuding, and quite good service. The menu is typical Parador and not really too good, very like any other Parador. Much better is Succo in the middle of town, a 5 minute walk.

This is a wonderful Parador. We only stayed the one night arriving at midnight and leaving at 10am so impressions are limited, but we were very impressed – and we’ve stayed in a number of Paradors. Due to delays on the ferry from Morocco we had to leg it all the way from Algeciras behind schedule, and were worried about... More
