We stayed in El Convent june 2011. This was our second stay there; we absolutely love it. It is close to the medieval village of Begur (shopping and dining) and a few minutes away from the lovely bays of the Costa Brava. The Hotel has a good restaurant and a nice outdoor terrace and pool.
