I first stayed at this cave hotel in 1997 and gave it a good report then , I have just returned and sadly found that it has slipped down in all departments, the first thing I did not like was reception demanding payment on arrival, I questioned it and was told that this was company policy and that was that... Room did not smell fresh, the outside area was not well kept, and there was no hot water. It took us an hour to find the place even though we had a gps. Wen we mentioned that in the reception.Te girls said that she knows that because everyone is complaining about it. Swimming pool is old and not well kept.

Stayed one night at Cuevas Pedro Antonio, the area we were in was in poor repair and we had a very large digger parked at our entrance, not attractive. Reception staff spoke good english, but it is a resort were you have to pay deposits for everything, tv control, swim towel etc etc and no smiles. Would not recommend this... More

Staying in a cave is a fun experience although the rooms are so nice that you hardly realize that you're in a cliff. We stayed two nights in Cave 16, one of their largest. It has two bedrooms, sitting room with fireplace, small kitchen, and modern bathroom reached through a short tunnel. Furniture plentiful and comfortable except not much closet... More

The cave hotels in Guadix were built into the rock, with a cliff hanging over the top. The hotel had a great restaurant, and a great pool. The lady at the reception spoke very good English. Some of the hotel rooms, (including our's) smelt a lot like cigarette smoke. It was right next to the freeway, so it was noisy... More

A fantastic place to stay to experience the cave dwellings! Reception staff were friendly, and the restaurant itself serves delicious local food. Try the leg of lamb! We only stayed for a night, and it was perfect - the caves are close to a motorway, but when you are inside this is not a problem, so don't let it put... More

My wife and I were already planning on going to Spain for our honeymoon and she was searching the internet one night and discovered this cave hotel. The cave itself (we rented the one with a jacuzzi in it) was really great and unique. It was atop a hill and had a great view of the Sierra Nevada. When we... More

We had no booking for this establishment but saw a sign as we were driving into Gaudix and investigated. It was great. We had a 2 bedroom unit high above the highway (no noise). It was spacious and spotless and very comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant and had really great meals at a reasonable price. We were only... More
