The night my fiance and I got engaged we made a trip to Woodstock VT to the Shire Riverview Motel. We definitely will be returning. Not only did we enjoy a beautiful jacuzzi in our room, we had wonderful views and privacy. We would like to thank the staff and especially management for their exceptional service.

My family have stayed at the Shire for several years now. We are never disappointed with our visit. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The Shire Rooms have always been clean and comfortable. The location is the best, just a quick walk into the village. Make sure you have breakfast or lunch at the Mountain Creamery!

We were in Woodstock last weekend to celebrate our anniversary and chose Shire because of the good reviews; we were not disappointed! Views from our premium cottage were really nice, room was clean and so was the bathroom. It was a bit pricey considering we were there during off season, however we loved everything about the hotel.

We loved staying at the Shire Riverview Motel because it is within walking distance of all the shops, church, covered bridge, and Mt. Tom. We went up for a long weekend. Shire Riverview was great, We will stay there again.. I did forget my jacket, but there was a great sale down town. It was very nice, to just sit and watch the river, very quit and relaxing...

I've been coming to the shire for the past 4 years. It's a lovely place. Rooms are consistently clean, comfortable bed and great pillows! Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are offered in the mornings. Each room has a list of places of interest with in walking distance.

The Shire Riverview Motel wasn't too expensive, and it's in a great location - within walking distance of all the restaurants and shops in Woodstock. The room was a good size and clean and the staff was friendly. There's also a food market right across the street.

Great place to stay any time of year! Wonderful being right on the river. Excellent sidewalk access to village of Woodstock. Staff is very friendly. The rooms are clean, great, spacious and comfortable beds.
