It's far away from everything... lost in the middle of nowhere... BUT if you have a car and don't mind driving is ok :) nice rooms, good breakfast. During check out there were €400 from drinks and dinner we never had!!! so watch out that bill before u leave!

I stayed in an apartment with my husband and two-year-old son at Borgo Saraceno hotel in the end of september, right before the hotel was closing for winter. We really felt this, as the spa-department closed one week before we left, the private beach closed, and the shuttlebus stopped, and the restaurant had a limited menu (allthough the waiter didn't... Me and my mother booked an apartment with twin beds. When we arrived after a 90 euro cab ride, we found the apartment with one small double bed, not what we ordered! Cleaning was not in the roomprice of 1000euro pr week, you have to bring extra towels or it will cost you 15 euro PER person to get clean... More

We stayed in this hotel for a trip to Gallura. The hotel is in the middle between Capo Testa and Costa Smeralda, close to Palau (10 km). Therefore goo location for who wants to see the Gallura and the Islands Maddalena and Caprera. Located onthe top of the hill, you really need a car if you stay there. Swimmingpool is... More

A good hotel overall. The rooms are basic with little furnishings or interest. Half the rooms face onto an access road not noisy but not appealing either. We found the staff very helpful and friendly. Few spoke much English but were always willing to do their best to help. The outdoor pool is very good, it was hot while we... More

We loved staying here. This is really maximum value for your money! Great staff, great rooms and a perfect spot to explore the wonderful area from. It takes about 30 minutes to drive to Santa Theresa di Gallura but it´s worth it. The small city with the view to Corsica was our favourite and we visited a couple. You need... More

Hire a car to get to the hotel - you'll need one to find all the great beaches anyway. The hotel is about an hour from Olbia airport if the traffic is good; more if lots of overtaking needed - the roads are generally winding. San Pasquale is a small but unruined village, with a great view over the Maddelena... More

Just returned from a week break at the above hotel. All in all it was a good trip but there were some things to consider before booking here: 1. In off-season, the hotel is empty and I mean empty. There were certainly more staff than guests! 2. The hotel is situated in a beautiful but remote part of the island... More

Deathly quiet in late April, only three couples in hotel including us! No facilities available, just the room and really the hotel should hve been shut. Nothing in the village and location not recommended. Suggest you stay at St Theresa di Gallura which is very pretty or the Costa Smeralda which is very expensive. Room booked through LateRoom.com and chose... More

This review is way overdue We have stayed at Borgo Saraceno in June 07 for a week It is a great base to explore the stunning Costa Smeralda without paying the real Costa Smeralda prices! But if you are not considering hiring a car, then you should probably give this hotel a miss. It is located half way between Porto... More
