The hotel is a very well-kept and beautiful hotel close to the beach. The rooms are clean and nice, breakfast is good. The pool can be a nice change to the beautiful beach of San Bartolomeo. Also, the staff is very friendly and flexible. Guests are mostly Italian. Only thing you have to be aware of is that Via Aurelia... More

The Bergamo hotel is a well preserved relic from the 1970's. It must have been a luxurious hotel back then, because it has got everything that would have made a perfect holiday back then: color TV, telephone and a hair dryer. All these appliances must still be the original ones, great retro stuff. As was the case in the 70's,... More

The hotel was badly in need of an update & refurbishment. Room quite dark, no light over mirror just light bulbs from the centre with fan above. Broken toilet seat which kept sliding & when one sat on the toilet your face was about 12" from the wall of the shower. That was my room but others had a bath... More

Stayed at the Bergamo Hotel for a week as part of a Single Travellers' Tour. Was allocated a double room on the fourth floor which had a wrap-around balcony and fabulous views. I had a great holiday and found the staff and food extremely good. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone. Its a small, friendly,... More

Have just returned. Staff couldn't do enough for us. Food good if a little boring. Room clean, no air con but a fan. But overall a good hotel. Near the promenade and sea and good restaurants. Town not very exciting but near other resorts. Noise from trains is a nuisance.

One of the previous reviewers said it was the best hotel in Liguria (presumably s/he had tried them all!), me and most of our group thought it was poor. Dark & dismal reception area, awful food and desperately needs air con in the rooms. The staff were friendly but not at all concerned when large amounts of food were sent... More

Yes it is old fashioned - it has been run by the same family for over 40 years . But it is old fashioned in a homely, comfortable way which means you get the kind of service which you won't get in a modern chain hotel. The rooms vary in size, but are comfortable with balconies and lots of storage... More

If you would like to spend a nice vacation near the see and have fantastic dinner every day, I recommend you Hotel Bergamo in San Bartolomeo Al Mare. The kindest staff and owners I've ever experienced, clear and friendly rooms, lovely pool, peace and tranquillity. The menu was fantastic every day. The town is friendly and calm. Monaco is only... Nice, but old fashion hotel with swimmingpool. Kindly staff. Very simple breakfast. No AC in the room.. Situated in a small, and a little but boring city..

Whatever you wish for a wonderful and peaceful vacation. Staff courtesy, excellent quality food, clean and homely rooms, wide and comfortable open-spaces. All that you need for your relax, without forgetting the delicious gala dinner with lovely background music and the funny nightlong show staged next to the swimming-pool. The huge peculiarity of this hotel lives in the niceness of... More
